Alex Fong: No TVB and babies

Alex Fong has no plans for more children after the birth his daughter Fu Ka Ching in 2008. But rumour has it that wife; Hoyan Mak is planning for second pregnancy.

As reported on Popular Asians, on 16 March, while Alex was at Stefan Wong's wedding, a tabloid reporter overheard Hoyan's conversation with other parents at Ka Ching's school, saying, "I really do want to go for a son. In fact, I wouldn't mind having two more, but I don't know if that will happen."

It was rumoured that Hoyan has been feeling insecure after a recent tabloid report regarding Alex and mainland actress Kong Wei's relationship. Furthermore with the actor deciding to stay in mainland China for the next six months to film two dramas back-to-back, it was alleged that Hoyan is thinking about having another baby to tie him back to Hong Kong.

A source close to the pair disclosed, "Alex earns a lot more in the mainland, but Hoyan rather that Alex stays with TVB. She doesn't mind the lower pay. She'll just be thriftier on their spending."

Meanwhile, on an interview that was held on 20 March, Alex revealed his stance on the baby plan, saying, "I don't have the qualifications to shoot for another [baby]. One is already enough. Definitely do not want another. It will be too much to handle."

The actor also confirmed that he will be spending the next six months in mainland China to shoot two Chinese dramas, and is not planning to renew his TVB contract, exclaiming, "I want more freedom!"
