Among the alleged victims are Hong Kong TVB actors such as Vincent Wong, Benjamin Yuen and William Chak. They told the media that the actor, known only as "Mr Y", is a veteran artiste and recognised for his acting skills.
Besides acting in many popular television dramas, he has also acted in some box office movies and is a singer who has expanded his career to China in recent years. However, the victims did not disclose the identity of the actor.
William, who held the title of Mr Hong Kong 2010, claimed that Mr Y had asked to have sex with him. Vincent said that he was kissed on the neck by Mr Y during a karaoke session and Benjamin said that he pinched his biceps.
According to them, Mr Y is a B-class actor who behaves effeminately and has been linked to several men in the TV acting circle.
He is known to like young muscular men and has a steady male partner for the past few years. He is also known to take pride in his appearance and usually wears eye-catching colours.
Although many have singled out a popular band member, he had not collaborated with most of the victims and seldom appeared in television serials.
Earlier reports in Three Weekly state that Mr Y is bisexual, although some TVB artistes said that they have not heard of a colleague who is an HIV carrier and dismissed the rumours.
