Yesterday Kenneth Ma and Selena Li were dressed in wedding clothing and
attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of JUST GOLD's new store opening as
a 'couple team'. Kenneth also followed what the event organizers asked
him to and proposed to Selena with a 2 karat diamond ring. He expressed
jewelry accessories are gifts he usually gives his female friends.
Selena, who was standing besides him, said she never got any from him
and told Kenneth to give her the 2 karat diamond ring on her hand.
However, when he found out the ring costs over HK$400,000, he thought it
was too expensive. Kenneth said: "I'll give the ring to her when she
marries me, but if I have to spend HK$400,000 to get a wife, then that's
not worth it. (Pursue Selena?) It's hard, she got too many pursuers."
He denied that he's thinking of pursuing ex-girlfriend Nancy Wu: "Never
thought about it, we are happy as friends." Kenneth expressed he has
never purchased couple's matching rings before. He has only bought
necklaces and bracelets for his past girlfriends.
Selena
expressed she has never got a diamond ring before: "My ex-boyfriends
never gave me one. My wealthier friends won't just give me a ring out of
the blue. Also I think if I were to accept a ring as a gift, there
would be great consequences, so I won't just accept rings."
