Yesterday TVB's TV King Wayne Lai and Natalie Tong attended the blessing ceremony of their new series
Detective Columbo.
In the series, Wayne and Natalie are a pair of childhood lovers. Does
Wayne feel his female co-stars are getting younger and younger? He
joked: "I kept it well, but they (the actresses) are deteriorating
fast! There aren't many people in TVB, got to give any kind of pairing a
try. Tim Gor (Producer Lee Tim Shing) won't just force us together, at
first she had to put on makeup to make her look older in order to
accommodate me."
Natalie plays both the mother and daughter in
the series, which is a great challenge for her. Also, the role suffers
from a mental disorder, and she gets beat by several people. Wayne also
admits Natalie got a difficult role: "The character goes through extreme
changes, in hope to give audience a different feeling when the seriesl
airs."
