A month after Model Gaile Lok and pop king Leon Lai announced their divorce, Gaile openly talks about the divorce for the first time at yesterday's Marc Jacobs fashion event. Gaile was very emotional and started tearing as she spoke and eventually she was crying nonstop that she had to take a 10 minute break before continuing with the interview.

Gaile frankly expressed and Leon have already signed the divorce contract, therefore she cannot say too much. She said: "Leon and I have already separated for some time. As to exactly how long since our separation, I really don't want to talk about it. We have a divorce contract, so I cannot reveal too much. First, it is a legally binding contract and secondly I am respecting Leon." During the period of unhappiness, she traveled to the U.S to have some time alone.

It was rumored she is getting a large alimony for the divorce, asked if she and Leon are splitting their assets? Gaile denied: "I am not that type. After all, I will be just as hard working on my jobs as before. I earn my own money and buy the things I like." Then she added with a sigh: "No one wants to get a divorce!" She stressed there is no longer a relationship between her and Leon.

Since then they have been a very loving couple, earlier it was even rumored Galie was pregnant, but unfortunately it was just a rumor. The couple who tied the knot in 2008, was recently hounded by rumours that they are facing a marital crisis. There were even speculations that Gaile had moved out of their marital home and that Leon was involved with actress Zhang Ziyi.

A few days ago, Ziyi released a statement, saying that she decided to break her silence, so as to protect her image as an artiste. She expressed that she will reserve the right to take legal action against those who published the rumours.

Her move received support and compliments from netizens worldwide.

Yesterday, Leon and Gaile also released a joint statement through their management agencies, proving that their love is still going strong.

According to the statement, the recent rumours of a marriage breakdown between the couple were "absurd and unnecessary". They expressed that "some tabloids published baseless reports which served as a personal attack at Leon" and claimed that the rumours had "posed unnecessary inconveniences" to the couple.

The statement added that a legal firm has been engaged to look into the matter and action will be taken against "the media who were responsible for the reckless reports regarding Leon and Gaile's marriage".

Leon and Gaile's marriage is reportedly going well and the couple is still as loving as before.

Rumours of a split are believed to have started because Leon had been busy with the preparations for his concert in December.

Yesterday model Gaile Lok attended the 7 FOR ALL MANKIND Autumn and Winter Fashion Show with TVB artist Jason Chan. Gaile's manager accompanied her to the event and when asked about how Gaile's feeling recently? She said: "OK, normal. (A Magazine photographed her moving out?) I'm not commenting, let them write whatever they want. There is no need for a response."

Reporters kept asking Gaile if it's true she's moving out of her 'love nest' with Leon Lai and about the divorce rumors? She said: "Not answering, maybe, but I don't know." Not answering will give more room for imaginations? Gaile helplessly said: "Even if I don't answer, they will still write. It doesn't matter. In the past, nothing happened and they still write. In fact, it is quite entertaining to have such creative news."

Gaile frankly said in the past when she read about negative reports, she would feel unhappy, but slowly she got used to it. She said she won't respond to anything related to Leon. According to sources, Leon was infuriated with the news of Gaile's rumoured pregnancy. Apparently, Gaile was supposed to be on contraceptive pills, but she reportedly stopped taking them in hopes of getting pregnant.

Friends of Leon's revealed that the former 'Heavenly King' is at a loss on how to react to the news.

"It's really too sudden. But becoming a daddy is a joyous affair after all, so he should be fine after he simmers down after a while."

Gaile Lok attended a uniform design competition event yesterday as a judge and provided a lot of valuable feedback to the competitors. Earlier, a magazine reported that Gaile and her husband Leon were having marriage problems due to disagreements over having children. When asked about this, Gaile responded: “I don’t control what the magazines write about and I don’t care. Besides, Hong Kong magazines have always been very ‘creative’ with its content. As for Leon’s response to the divorce rumors, Gaile indicated: “He doesn’t have much of a response. The pregnancy and divorce rumors are constantly being circulated anyway – if he is asked about it, he will answer and move on. Our relationship has always been good – we’re not the overly ‘sweet and lovey’ type, but that doesn’t mean that there are problems.”

Gaile indicated that for Halloween this year, she would like to do the ‘uniform’ look, so she will dress up as a nurse, police woman, etc. (Does Leon look good in a uniform?) Gaile smiled and replied: “He looks good….as long as the outfit is suitable for him, then it’s not a problem. I feel that he looks best in a suit and tie.
