It's rare that Nicholas Tse accepts TV interviews, but he appeared in last night's episode of Tell Maria, hosted by Maria Leitao (黎芷珊). As there is a convention on this talk show, each interviewee must share a small secret with the host. To our surprise, Nicholas' small secret is that he had skin cancer! When he discovered a black mole on the left side of his scalp, getting larger and larger, he went to check it out with a doctor. At the time, the doctor told him that he won't be able to remove the mole via electrolysis and discovered he had melanoma. The doctor said Nicholas had skin cancer and must be treated immediately. Last month, he was admitted to the hospital for the surgery to get the skin cancer completely removed and got 5 stitches. At the time, his mother Deborah Lai accompanied him to the hospital, but his father Patrick Tse did not know about it at all.

Last night Nic and his father Patrick arrived at the HK airport, they had just got back from Beijing. He causally accepted an interview, when asked how he's doing now? Nic said: "I'm ok, I'm ok. I'm fine! I just mentioned it in the interview and already said I'm fine." Nic was wearing a cap and it appears he hasn't shaved yet, he expressed its not because he's trying to cover his wound, just his hair is too short. Nicholas Admits Spending Night at Cecilia’s House

Celebrity couple Nicholas Tse Ting-fung and Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi have officially announced they are divorcing following months of speculation their five-year marriage is on the rocks.

In a joint statement, Tse and Cheung said they will have joint custody of their two sons, four-year-old Lucas and one- year-old Quintus.

"We, Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi and Nicholas Tse Ting-fung, formally announce that we decided to divorce due to differences in personality. We have peacefully reached an agreement on the divorce matter," they said in the statement, dated Friday and released yesterday.

"We will have joint custody of our two children. Their happy growth will be our main consideration in all matters."

They said some media reports about their marriage break-up are inaccurate and they reserve the right to pursue all necessary steps. They appealed to the media not to speculate further on the separation.

The statement made no mention of how they will share their wealth.

They extended their "heartfelt gratitude" to those who expressed concern about them and their families.

Media organizations were also urged to particularly leave their children alone, so that the toddlers can grow up out of the spotlight.

They said they will not respond to further questions about the divorce.

News of their marriage difficulties first surfaced in May after actress-singer Cheung reportedly took photos with singer-actor Edison Chen Koon-hei on a Hong Kong-bound flight.

There were suggestions that Cheung's relationship with Tse had already turned sour before May, and that the Chen incident made it unsalvageable.

Explicit photos of Cheung taken by Chen were leaked to the public in a 2008 sex-photo scandal that also involved celebrities such as Gillian Chung Yan- tung, Bobo Chan Man-woon and Rachel Ngan Wong-sze.

Chen announced in February 2008 he was taking indefinite leave from the entertainment industry, but he resumed his work late last year.

Many people praised Cheung's bravery for breaking her silence about a year after the sex-photos scandal came to light, so her widely reported move to initiate a photo opportunity with Chen in May when they came across each other on the flight to Hong Kong struck many as a stark contradiction.

It looks like four-year-old Lucas Tse is making more money than his mother.

The child will be appearing alongside his mother and actress Cecilia Cheung in upcoming movie Treasure Hunt (previously titled The Invaluable Treasure).

According to an insider, Lucas was paid at least RMB$800,000 (S$151,000) for his cameo in the movie. Based on the child's amount of screen time, his payment superseded the other cast members and was reportedly even pricier than Cecilia's.

A few days ago, a netizen posted on his microblog that actor Nicholas Tse had requested to cut away Lucas's scenes from the movie.

"Nicholas is unhappy with what Cecilia did and does not want his son to enter showbiz at such an early age. He did not like how Cecilia was using Lucas to make money. Nicholas was already upset when she brought Lucas along during the promotions of Stephen Chow's CJ7: The Cartoon," he wrote.

However, Lucas's high payment meant that the possibility of cutting away the scenes was close to zero.

When asked to clarify on the rumour, the production house's representative refused to comment.

Wong Jing, the director of Treasure Hunt, said, "I am just a director. I only handle what is in production and I'm not clear of the rest."

He added that he had invited Lucas to act in his movie with only an ice-cream, and hence, denounced the claims of a large payout indirectly.

Nicholas's manager also denied that the news was true, and added that the actor is currently busy filming his new drama in China. Lucas's payment for the movie "Treasure Hunt" was reportedly S$151,000.

Nicholas reportedly caught a bad flu, after visiting his eldest son Lucas at Cecilia's apartment at Yang Ming Shan, which resulted in a three-day fever. The actor was later placed on IV drip.

Later, he left for Shanghai to complete a commercial shoot before heading to Yancheng and Qinhuang Island for an event. Nicholas experienced asthma symptoms upon arriving in Shanghai, and had his medication with him in case of an emergency.

On Aug 7, the actor was in Beijing filming his new drama The Next Miracle and suffered an asthma relapse due to his hectic work schedule. He had breathing difficulty and a doctor was immediately called to the filming location.

"Nicholas's condition was very bad. He was suffering from tracheal narrowing and was unable to breathe. After the doctor checked on him at the hotel, the crew quickly went to get an oxygenator. His condition improved later. After a short nap, he insisted on returning to work," Nicholas's manager responded.

Nicholas was reported to be in a better condition when filming wrapped that evening.

It's been more than two months since Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung's marital woes started, and the actor had begun to shift his focus back to his career, after the celebration of their eldest son's birthday last week.

Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung had wanted to mend her broken marriage with her estranged husband Nicholas Tse on their eldest son's birthday.

However, things did not go as planned.

Cecilia had booked two banquet halls on Aug 1 -- one to celebrate Lucas's birthday, the other to discuss divorce details with Nicholas.

It is believed that Nicholas brought along five lawyers that day, while Cecilia was accompanied by two solicitors. The group reportedly took 12 hours to discuss the terms of their divorce.

An insider spilled contents of the discussion, saying that Cecilia "wanted to live with her two children and Nicholas was agreeable to that".

"However, he set many conditions for Cecilia to follow. Cecilia said she did not want alimony, because she felt that the children belong to them both. She asked Nicholas to contribute to their boys' education," he added.

The pair was said to be finalising their divorce in a year.

Cecilia recently signed on to New Asia Entertainment Group for eight years at a whopping price of HK$480 million (S$75 mil), to prove that she was not interested in Nicholas's money.

A production house would be set up under her name, and Cecilia would be marketed as an artiste, producer and owner. The company was said to resemble Nicholas's production company Chao Ting and is believed that the couple would continue their battle on the business front.

"Cecilia said that she will not take a single penny from the Tse family. All she wanted is her two children," Cecilia's new manger Yu Yu Xing said recently.

Commenting on the lucrative contract terms, Yu Xing expressed, "This is confidential. Cecilia is a worthy investment. I believe she would be able to bring in profits in the future."

In other related news, Nicholas appeared at the Hong Kong airport at 9am yesterday, to travel to China, where his new drama series would be shot. When probed by the media, the actor merely smiled but did not make a comment.

Replying to rumours, which said that the pair might be giving their marriage another try, Nicholas' manager Mani Fok said, "Everything would be resolved very soon."

Despite being separated, Cecilia is still chalking up expenses on estranged husband's credit card. Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung's five years marriage may be heading to an end, but it looks like she is having a hard time coming to terms with it. Nicholas had sent the divorce papers to Cecilia three times now, but the actress has refused to sign them.

She is also reportedly still using his credit card for her own expenses. This despite receiving a million-dollar paycheck for a 10-day shoot to participate in Raymond Wong's All's Well, Ends Well 2011.

An insider revealed that apart from their children and family spending, there were also bills for dresses, meals, and gift baskets; some were even for expenses incurred during her shoot in China.

Nicholas is reportedly worried about Cecilia's tendency to trust people easily. The actress is believed to have once paid an inflated cost of HKD$200,000 (SGD$31,000) to have her car fixed at a workshop. The real cost is reportedly only HKD$20,000 (SGD$3098).

Nicholas reportedly did not cancel Cecilia's supplementary card, as the actor wanted to be responsible for Cecilia before their divorce is finalised.

The actor's eldest son reportedly wanted to leave with him. With Hong Kong celebrity couple Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung headed for a divorce, the spotlight now turns to their two sons and how they will be affected by the split.

Nicholas recently returned to Hong Kong to spend an eight-day holiday with his sons, while Cecilia headed to Ningbo to continue filming her new movie The Lion Roars 2.

The maid was said to have panicked and held onto Lucas, causing the four-year-old to cry and plead his father not to leave.

Yesterday, after Nicholas met up with directors Alex Law and Mabel Cheung at a production house to discuss their new movie, he headed straight to Yang Ming Shan to spend time with his children. The actor stayed there for two hours before returning to his hotel in Admiralty.

Commenting on the report that Lucas had cried and begged for him not to leave, Nicholas said, "I don't believe what was written in the magazine. I should know better."

When asked if his children were all right, Nicholas nodded.

However, when the reporter probed if he went to Yang Ming Shan to spend time with his children, the actor asked in return, "Why do I bother to go there, if not for my children?"

Cecilia's manager Emily also commented on the magazine's report, saying, "It's funny [to see them] use an old picture and then add captions."

However, according to an insider, the father and son relationship reportedly hit rock bottom again when Nicholas transferred a property that was meant for Patrick to Cecilia.

With the couple headed for a divorce, it would be even harder for Patrick to see his grandchildren.

Two days ago, in another indication that all was not well with the father and son, an exasperated Patrick was quoted as saying, "I didn't know that my son would be this bad".
