Liza Wang and Gigi Wong are two 'big sister level' actresses, recently they have been working together on producer Poon Ka Tak's new series A Chip off the Old Block II. It has been rumored that the two are on bad terms. A magazine reported while Liza was discussing her costume, she learned Gigi had intentions to cut her hair short, and then she quickly fought to say she's more suitable for the short haircut. Gigi eventually gave in and didn't insist on getting the haircut.

Yesterday Liza clarified on Weibo that they are not on bad terms: "Producer Poon Ka Tak hopes to reference Madame Bovary's elegant style, over 10 years ago she had a short hairstyle. Necessary for the series, I cut my long hair. Please everyone, stop trying to make it seem like Liza Jeh and Gigi Jeh are on bad terms. These reports are just stories made out of nothing. I do not need to borrow such news to get publicity. I respect Gigi Jeh for turning down a high salary job invitation just to be able to collaborate with me. I cherish our collaboration opportunity. In reality, bad term rumors have never been me!"

TVB new series A Clip off the Old Block II held its blessing ceremony yesterday. The cast including Liza Wang, Gigi Wong, Mandy Wong and Him Law attended. In the series, Liza plays a woman with clincial depression, and often scolds people. She was once worried she won't be able to get out of the role because she is personally very nervous about her performance and would feel unhappy while shooting. As for collaborating with Gigi Wong again, Liza said: "Many years ago, we collaborated in The Book and the Sword. This time she's very natural and there's not much to say about her work attitude. We have a very comfortable collaboration, very rare that two people from the same generation can work together again."

Him and Mandy are a couple once again in the series, but temporarily do not have any kiss scenes. Him was asked if its because he already has his other half? He said: "Not related, just if its necessary for the plot. In fact there was a scene that we were about to kiss, but it didn't happen." First time collaborating with Liza as her son, Him frankly expressed he is doing his part and has not been late or anything. Him said there has not been many scenes opposite of Liza yet.

Earlier Mandy had a scene where she got scolded by Liza: "In the series, Liza doesn't like me dating Him, so she was scolding me as she threw the gift back to me. Actually I'm often scolding Liza too. For that scene, we finished in one take."

Liza Wang, Gigi Wong, Mandy Wong, Him Law and Candy Chang were at the costume fitting for TVB new series A Chip off the Old Block II (巴不得媽媽…). It has been 36 years since Liza and Gigi last collaborated in The Legend of the Book and the Sword in 1976. Gigi denied that the two are on bad terms, but expressed they are only on bad terms in the series. Gigi is also not worried about the arise of gossips when working with Liza: "We didn't have any gossips before, very peaceful. Gossips are made up by others." She stressed she has never been jealous of Liza nor has she competed with her on anything. Gigi has always took her salary and put in her greatest effort into the work, just as long as she has a salary, she will be happy. Also, this time it's a rare opportunity to work with Liza again.

Liza reveals she and Gigi will have a lot of scenes opposite of each other and will be mutually picking on each other. Liza expressed she didn't keep in touch with Gigi in private because Gigi started developing in Taiwan and then moved to Canada. When asked about Shirley Yeung, whom she had once worked with, is now a single mother and back in HK? Liza said: "I don't know, I came back to TVB to do my costume fitting, didn't read the papers nor have I kept in touch with her. So I wouldn't know, just ask about the new series!"

As “TVB’s Top Treasure,” Liza Wang (汪明荃) defended TVB’s strengths and challenged the qualifications of new rival television station, City Telecom (CTI). The day before, CTI held a ground breaking ceremony to mark the construction of their production facilities. Liza stated, “CTI is a new company with nothing. Let’s produce some results before we discuss further! There is no need to talk about anything right now! TVB has come a long way and will not be brought down through slander!”

Liza continued, “Despite ATV’s long existence, they could not garner ratings! It is understandable that a new television station needs to recruit staff. I wish CTI well! Ricky Wong (王維基) said that there will be new dramas released at the end of the year. I want to see what kind of dramas they will be!”

Bosco Wong: “I Grew Up On TVB’s Milk!”
TVB’s biological artists, Bosco Wong (黄宗泽), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), and Michael Tse (谢天华) strongly supported their maternal home. Indicating that he found his first job at TVB, Bosco said, “I grew up drinking TVB’s milk and have served TVB for over a decade! As a TVB artist, I feel absolute attention and respect from outside parties. There are numerous benefits, such as higher appearance fees for TVB artists! TVB’s reputation is quite renown! Last year, Myolie Wu (胡杏儿) and I filmed a mainland drama together; we have a high degree of freedom as well, with numerous opportunities!”

Kate Tsui stated, “From the point of no one knowing who I am, to entering the Miss Hong Kong Pageant, and to having numerous fans, these are all things which TVB bestowed upon me. I even had the ability to film movies! In fact, TVB artists have a lot of freedom!”

Michael Tse noted that without TVB casting him in E.U. "学警狙击" and Lives of Omission "潜行狙击", his popularity would not have reached its current level.

Virginia Lok: “No Need to Reveal Mutual Scars!”
Regarding Ricky Wong’s ground breaking ceremony held inTVB’s Tseung Kwan O district, Virginia Lok (乐易玲) said sarcastically, “The stakeholders in the entertainment can flourish together and there is no need to reveal each others’ scars! The audience wishes to see good shows and not this (exposure of scars)! I congratulate him upon his ground breaking. I have a message for the cast and crew members: Without crossing the pond, the fish will not get fat; without competition, it will not get popular. I truly hope that they can get ‘fat’! I was especially happy to see Yue Mo Lin (余慕莲) sign with CTI and still have opportunities with her advanced age!

Asked whether TVB would accept staff who left the company and decided to return, Ms. Lok said, “The world is round. We have the disposition of a large station and the heart for tolerance!”

TVB anniversary series Super Snoops held its promotional event yesterday in Tsuen Wan, 'Ah Jeh' Liza Wang, Toby Leung, Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee, Aimee Chan, Christine Kuo and the rest of the cast attended. Regarding the TV ratings for this series, Liza Wang was displeased: "I hope it can get better. I heard the ratings peaked at 33 points, but the results are just average. Perhaps we just finished the film and the releases are in such close time intervals, which lacks the fresh feeling." Asked if she will temporarily stop collaborating with The Gods? She said: "Not for me to say. Actually I just shoot 1 series a year and I'm afraid of difficult work, so I avoid costume dramas. Comedies I have done a lot lately, so I hope to try something new next year, like something more serious." Asked if she hopes to get TV Queen again? Ah Jeh said: "Next year it will be my 45th anniversary of being in this industry, so I do hope to get a role that has feeling and memorable. I will have to see if TVB can coordinate such role, but I believe it will be quite difficult. As to if I can get the TV Queen title for the third time, we cannot predict."

Ah Jeh expressed she won't leave TVB just because she wants a good role, she said: "Unless TVB fires me and also I'm not young anymore." Ah Jeh said because of the TV industry poaching crisis, she got a pay raise from TVB, but the raise is limited. She said: "TVB won't add much, perhaps the low-paid employees got a higher raise close to the market value, but it is already good enough that TVB is doing something."

Liza Wang and Vinci Wong visited Kwong Wah Hospital yesterday. Towards the TV industry poaching issue, Liza, who has been serving TVB for 40 years, expressed no one has tried to 'poach' her. She has never considered leaving: "Since the day I entered TVB, I never thought of leaving! Actually we all should take a company's structure into account, like the health and development level of the company. After all, larger companies (TVB) has a good system." However, Liza felt the poaching issue will raise artists and behind-the-scenes staffs' value, which is a good thing because cultivating talents is not simple.

In the past, Vinci left TVB because he had an unpleasant relationship with the company. He expressed viewers will have more choices if there are more TV stations available: "TVB always had low pay because there wasn't competition in the market. Actually if you had to sign a 'death' contract and can't go on other TV stations, then that is truly meaningless! But, we all shouldn't be too rush, see how everything goes later." He expressed he didn't hear any news about his cousin Kevin Cheng leaving TVB nor does he know if Kevin wants to get TV King again with a long contract.

Liza Wang had just completed her 3 show Hong Kong Coliseum concert with Adam Cheng. At the concert, Liza's fans were seated unfairly, while Adam's fans got to sit up close around the stage. On the final show, Liza couldn't hold in her anger anymore and asked why does her fans have such bad seating all three nights? At the concert's afterparty, Liza was so upset she left with her husband Law Kar Ying right after opening the champagne. While she was leaving, she said she was too exhausted to accept any interviews as an excuse. However, before leaving Liza did not forget to stop and take photos with her fans. Reporters took advantage of this opportunity and asked why she's not accepting any interviews. She said she was too tired, but she is satisfied with the performances. Not long after, Adam figured out that Liza was upset because of the unfair seating. Adam said: "Liza just left, I didn't dare to say anything, perhaps fans bought tickets early, I didn't get the details." Asked if Liza complained to him? He said: "No, Liza was so happy to see me, and was flirtatious too." Adam and Liza's concert tour's will start in June and the first stop is Singapore.

Yesterday Liza Wang accepted Eileen Cha's radio interview and regarding to the unfair seating, the anger among Fans still has not died down, Liza said: "It's best for Adam's fans to take all 3 sections of the venue seating, while my fans can sit on the second floor and pay the same price! The same situation happened all 3 nights too, even my fans asked if there are any tickets that are worst. That is just too unfair, we both have fans, give me some face!"

This lady is on fire. Liza clearly was directing her anger towards the event host Vigo Yau. She frankly said that she was so angry she didn't even feel like going to the afterparty: "He still hasn't even said sorry to me. I have been in the industry for over 40 years, and I learned something, that I can't be relaxed. I want to be more polite, but I can't. To me, what's most important is respect!" When asked if she's still going to have mutual trust with Vigo Yau? She said firmly: "Absolutely not, not in the future. This is a form of respect, initially concerts were suppose to be something happy."

Vigo said that Liza preordered 1,100 tickets, almost 70% of those tickets are front row seats: "If the 5th row seats are bad, then I have nothing to say. I am 100% no shame, I will talk to Liza to get the details."

VB's "Fun With Liza and Gods" has been having good ratings, and popularity of the three gods rises as well. But host Liza Wang (Ah Jeh)'s singing segment is criticized by netizens and opened groups to request Ah Jeh stop singing. Lately a magazine reported the show plans to have a second season in September and Ah Jeh would be replaced by Elvina Kong.

Yesterday Ah Jeh and the three gods Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee were recording fo "Fun With Liza and Gods." Ah Jeh was asked whether she would be out from season two since she's always criticized by netizens, and Elvina would replace her? She said: "I don't know about this rumor. Netizens have been criticizing me since I got married, can't see too much, don't know what type of thinking is that, I won't mind. It's not confirmed to do season two yet, have to ask producer. If company arranges, will definitely do it."

Louis also doesn't believe in that rumor, and supports Ah Jeh: "Who said that? Ah Jeh's character is very valuable, can balance many things. Without her, how can there be 'Fun With Liza and Gods,' I didn't receive an notification that Elvina would replace Ah Jeh, she's currently doing 'Super Trio Game Master.'"

As for the report, producer Ho Siu Wai felt ridiculous. They didn't begin talking about season two. She said earlier company once thought of doing 20+ episodes in season one, but because some artistes have to film series and have other jobs, it's hard to schedule, so can only do 15 episodes. Although they brought up about season two, but nothing is confirmed. Whether they would include the original cast including Ah Jeh in season two? Ho said she doesn't even know whether she's the producer or not by then, most importantly have to look at everyone's schedule. She felt the report is not factual and has an aim. The show is a show to bring happiness to everyone, but negative reports upset everyone, which isn't good.

Yesterday besides impersonating commercial characters in "Fun With Liza and Gods," they show also invited Skye Chan and Justin Lo as performing guests. When they were taking group photo before the show, Justin didn't show up on time. Ah Jeh joked he won't show up unless with a cap. When he finally showed up with a Chinese pavilion cap, Ah Jeh teased him again: "Your cap today isn't good!" Justin felt embarrassed immediately.
