Ever since Amigo Choi was suspected of beating his girlfriend Elizabeth Kwong, other than reporting to thepolice station, he had been staying home and refused contact with anyone. Friends are worried that he will have emotional problems. TVB executive Stephen Chan disclosed that Meg Lam offered a helping hand and Amigo's friends also visited him at his home as they are concerned with any psychological issues.
Stephen said Amigo went to the police station yesterday to renew his policy and will have to report back at the end of the month. Ever since the incident was disclosed, he had been staying home everyday. He suggested that Amigo should take a walk outside, but his mood is still troubled. Stephen said many friends are also concerned about him and even went to Amigo's home to talk to him. Meg Lam also offered to provide assistance as Amigo really needs emotional counseling right now.
The incident happened more than two weeks agos, but Amigo is not going to publicly explain the situation?
Stephen said because the case is still being handled by the police, it is not appropriate for Amigo to disclose the details. He also doesn't want to hurt anyone with his words. For the time being, he will not disclose anything to the reporters.
All of Amigo's jobs have been suspended indenfinitely. It is said that a new show called Big Boys Club, which is supposed to broadcasted later on this year, will be released early to replace My Name is Bong. Stephen said, "This is a young men talk show. (Is it the male version of "至八女人心"?) It should be the younger version of Ni Kuang and Chua Lam instead." It is rumored that the hosts for the new show will be Louis Cheung and Steven Ma. Stephen said the host will be chosen by the producer, but it will not be Louis nor Steven because this show requires very young boys to be the host.
Stephen was asked whether the Miss Chinese International Pageant will be held early in the year as usual. He said it will be held in September instead and the location will be chosen between Shanghai, Tianjin, and Hong Kong.
Amigo's ex-girlfriend, Natalie Tong, was interviewed yesterday and said she has not called Amigo. She believes she will know when there are new updates on the case.
As with Elizabeth, she recently wrote on her blog that she hopes there will be a new beginning in the new year and will forget about the past. When asked whether Steven Ma will replace Amigo's jobs, she said, "It's boring if everyone sees Amigo hosting shows alot. It's good to add a new feel to the shows." She was then asked if she pities Amigo's situation and she responded that it isn't necessarily a bad thing to miss work. He should be able to learn something from this. She disclosed she will be going to Australia for one month to work. Even though she will be overseas, she will still be notified of the result of the case.
