Malaysia's "Love Song Prince" Gary Cao was involved in assaulting good friend Justin Lo on the streets of Central while drunk last September. Yesterday the trial for the case was held, the Praetor ordered Gary to sign a $1000 one year probation statement and he won't leave a criminal record. Gary was asked from left and right outside of the court about quitting drinking, he did not respond directly. He only told everyone that there are different ways to maintain it.
After the incident with Justin, Gary admitted to the case and has felt extremely regretful thereafter. He also stressed that Justin did not hit him at all, Justin also had no objections, after police investigations, Gary agreed to sign the $1000 1 year probation as a way to resolve the issue. The trial only elasped for about 10 minutes, Gary only made short responses in court like "I agree", "I understand", not exceeding 5 words. Within the one year probation, Gary must promise not to commit violence, disorderly conduct in public places, destroy the public peace or public property crimes.
Apologizes again
Gary left court at approximately 3pm and accepted interviews from the media, he first apologized once again to Justin, his family, his company, friends and the media, he said: "Causing unnecessary troubles for everyone, I am wrong and I respect what the praetor sentenced. Although, he sentenced me for a 12 month probation, but to me it is probation for a lifetime." He hopes that he can be an example to the youth on not making the same mistake he did. When asked if he would quit drinking, Gary said: "This incident happening, it is an important sign to change my lifestyle, for everything I do it will be positive." Asked if he has seen Justin, he said: "We haven't met up since this incident, but we are really good friends still. (Inform him of the sentence?) He should see this report himself. (Next time you guys meet, will you drink again?) Should not! (Quit drinking?) Many friends are helping me. (How?) Using several different ways of doing so, I thank everyone's concern, I will do it for you all to see."
Mrs. Cao supports her husband
Mrs. Cao (Ng Chuk Ling) expressed through her management: "Thank you for everyone's concern. Gary is already taking responsibilities for his actions. I hope everyone will understand and support him."
On Justin and Gold Label's side, there has not been a decision for a response.
