Sharon has rested 3-4 months, and is now back into her showbiz career. She is focusing more on light jobs, such as stage performances and hosting. Even if she is shooting series, she does not hope to be working too hard. Her series Ghetto Justice is currently broadcasting, Sharon plays HO LEI JING who works as a prostitute in Sham Shui Po. Who would have known that during shooting of a chasing a thief on the street half-naked scene, an accident would happen. She tripped and fell to the ground, making all the pain and illness coming out completely. She said: "2010 was seriously the darkest, darker than ink. First when I was shooting Can't Buy Me Love because the head dress was too heavy, I injured my neck. Later when I was shooting in Sham Shui Po for this series, I was chasing after a thief and when I turned on the street, I fell down. My whole body fell on the ground, I couldn't even move if I wanted to. The doctor said I broke my collar bone."
Ignored advice, still went to Australia for stage work
If you say a person has a dark path, Sharon will agree because her collar bone injury was just a prelude. Someone suddenly couldn't breathe at home, had her mother help her to the hospital and discover that she had problems in her kidneys function, that is the main course. "When I injured my collar bone, the doctor initially told me to rest for 3 months, but I am my family economy's backbone, stopping my hands and mouth, at the time I saw I didn't have much problems, and I already accepted the Australia stage performance job, so I felt impatient to go finish the job. When the doctor found out, he strongly opposed, but I still went. Perhaps the heavens really wanted me to rest a bit because not long after I came back to HK, this happened. Waiting at the hospital for my medical report was the most difficult, my thoughts started turning into a mess."
Wild imagination, tears used to wash face
Sharon started working as a model at age 14. In 1999, she became one of Tetsuya Komuro (TK)'s five apprentices in Hong Kong. Possessing a pair of 43 inch long legs, she came from a middle class family. Her father was a tailor, but unfortunately after the financial crisis, not only did it leave her father unemployed, but also made Tetsuya leave the HK music scene. In 2001, she entered TVB: "I am a workaholic. In the past 10 years, I have not taken a break before. First I was worried TVB won't want me anymore, I really put serious thought into what else I could do if I'm not an artist? I really couldn't think of anything else. Then following those thoughts, I was worried my mom wouldn't have money for rent, my younger brother won't have money to pay for his school tuition. Once I started worrying, I started to cry nonstop. Luckily my friends and colleagues sent me text messages, expressing their hope to visit me. However, besides my very close friends like Christine Ng and Tavia Yeung, I really didn't want to see anyone."
Though Sharon didn't get some incurable disease, but to her it is still very miserable. What was more miserable was all the negative reports by the media. She clearly just had kidney inflammation, but the report became lymphatic inflammation and thyroidtis. When she walks out on the streets, she gets photographed, and the stories written about her were unbearable. Fortunately she had the support of her family and good friends. "I really want to thank my family, the support they gave me. My mom was worried about me the most, she saw that I was having wild imaginations, and my tears were like used to wash my face, worrying about this and that. She told me to not worry about the house rent. I remember clearly of what my mom said: 'Why are you like this, why are you forcing yourself?' As for my brother, he is 6 years younger than me, and in the past year we haven't been keeping in touch as often. I never thought of how much my brother loved me. He saw that I wasn't happy, so he made a special trip out to buy my favorite Winne the Pooh doll to cheer me up. Resting back at home, I read the Holy Bible, and constantly prayed. Christine came over to visit me. She's just like a happy fruit, with her around, the sound of laughter would be heard all the time. Without her, I could not have got better that quickly."
Take good care of body, prepare to have baby 2 years later
In fact, Sharon has been getting silent support from her boyfriend (William) of many years. In the past, Sharon was unwilling to mention too much about her relationships, but this time she generously admitted that she is dating and even reveals that she sees her boyfriend as a marriage partner. "Sometimes, my thoughts are pessimistic, and can easily get affected by people. So, I really need someone with positive energy to be by my side. He is exactly that person who can give me that energy. Although he's not in the industry, he is very low-key. Many times, when I have problems at work, he would help me analyze it. How long have we been dating for? Already over 5 years. I have never mentioned him formally, but this time I really want to thank my boyfriend. It can be said that I have seen the true feelings through troubled times. This time because of my illness, many more points have been added to his good qualities. Many couples can share riches together, but cannot get through troubled times together. Sometimes, after I take my medicine, my body becomes very swollen. I look so bad, like a pig head, but he still has so much patience to cheer me up. This made me deeply believe that this person can step into the next phase in life with me. We have been together for a long time already, our direction is identical, but for now we do not have plans to get marry. Perhaps 1-2 years later, wait until I get better health because I want to have a baby. In the future, when I get marry, I will notify the media. We might go to a small island to get marry, enjoy the sunshine and beaches. My mom does not mind, my boyfriend's family does not mind, it's not important if we hold a wedding banquet or not."

Reviving after illness, Sharon understands the importance of health. Currently she started researching on how to look after her health. Sharon joked that many times, her movements are just like an elder. "In fact my illness does have medical after-effects, once there are winds and rains, I will become ill. Nowadays, I drink warm water, eat lighter foods and give myself some time to fly out for a vacation. Long vacation can take a 3-4 day trip to Thailand, while a short vacation could be a 2 day trip to Macau. As an artist, everyone hopes to get a good role and win awards, I also have this fire in me, hoping for a good role, but TVB please don't nominate my roles for 'Most Improved Artist' again.
