In 2003, Maggie won Best Actress for her role in The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow. Although she hopes to win again, but the major gain is to be able to challenge herself. She said: "It has almost been 10 years since I've been hanging on wires [for shooting]. In this series, I had many first time and felt like a newcomer all over again."
Putting all that effort in, of course Maggie hopes for it to pay off. She said: "Of course I have thought about getting awards, but this year the competition is fierce. (Is your goal to be TV Queen?) Of course I hope so! This is the driving force for me to go to work! (Who is your strongest opponent?) Each one of them are good, it would be best if we all get an award!" As for the TV King battle, she clearly couldn't decide: "Of course I'm supporting Wayne Lai! (He already got it twice though!) Then I'll choose Moses Chan. I'm currently shooting Ladder to Heaven with him, haha!"
Maggie stopped working for a period of time, but is getting back on track as she is accepting both series and films. She hopes boost her popularity back up to its peak. When asked if she plans to go up north (Mainland) to dig the gold? She expressed the opposite view: "My parents are getting older afterall, I don't want to go too far. As Wayne says, the conditions of the work in Mainland may not neccessarily be better than HK. I personally may not be able to adapt to such pattern, so in the meantime I won't consider to work in Mainland."
