CTI (CityTelecom) chairman Ricky Wong is going all out in launching the great war in the television industry. This year, he will officially erupt! Aside from Mona Fong's resignation from TVB on March 25th, over the past several months, many of the TVB behind-the-scenes crew have been poached by Ricky to CTI. It was understood CTI is already preparing to start four TV series loaded with both gimmicks and drama. During the time that there are changes going on at TVB and that there are just the same few Siu Sangs and FaDans coming and going, CTI plans for a direct attack.
Although CTI has encountered some difficulty in enticing the singers under HKRIA to participate in a musical starting in March, it was understood CTI still has an abundant amount of scripts on hand. It is planned for the disheartened former TVB FaDan, Maggie Cheung to participate in a romantic drama with Patrick Tam and Prudence Liew. As for Felix Wong, who had once labeled TVB as 'Totally Very Bad', has already signed with his daughter (Wong Tsz Ching) for a father-daughter collaboration in a new ghost drama. CTI also plans to cast popular Taiwanese band Mayday and actor Richie Ren, whom both have a large fan base in Hong Kong, for a new drama revolving around bands.
