Recently a magazine reported that Joyce was the third party between her non-showbiz boyfriend (Chu Kin Kwan) and his girlfriend. It was reported she successfully kicked out the girlfriend from the triangle relationship and went on an one day trip with her boyfriend as his actual girlfriend. Joyce laughed: "It's a good thing to become the magazine's VIP and to be able to sell more papers. It's quite an interesting story but I, myself, did not know I'm having a problem. You said he is my boyfriend, what boyfriend? What's not true is not true. You all can continue to take pictures, one day when there are no pictures to take, then it is no longer true." Joyce said the magazine can be a very good scriptwriter and defended the male friend of hers that he isn't in the industry, so don't disturb him. As for being called the 'third party', Joyce does not mind because she cannot control it. The only thing she doesn't understand is how a happy occasion can turn negative. When asked if she's in a stabled relationship? Has the reports affected her development with the man? Joyce said: "I didn't say it was true. After all, I am currently very happy. [The report] just affected my emotions. We haven't discussed about the report, I just got teased by friends." Did she celebrate Mother's Day with her new boyfriend? Joyce denied she has a new boyfriend and claimed many of her friends has seen her family, and asked the media not to make 'meeting the parents' such a big deal.
Raymond Lam's cousin, Lin Xiawei, was said to have been invited out by a middle-aged man. She denied: "He is a Feng Shui Master that my family knows. Coincidentally he came down to HK from Beijing, so I just helped my family greet him. We also have a common friend in the industry." Xiawei said her family saw the report and just laughed at it.
