Yesterday afternoon Max Zhang posted good news on Weibo, he announced Ada Choi gave birth to their second child on March 25th, both mother and daughter are healthy. He uploaded a new family photo on Weibo and wrote: "Women going through pregnancy for 10 months, it's easier said than done. Life is wonderful, thank you God!" Ada responded immediately: "Congrats Mr. Zhang! A house with three beauties, you are the happiest man!"

Their eldest daughter, Chor Yee was 9.4 pounds at birth, but the couple didn't disclose the weight of their newborn this time, but from the photo "little Ada" looks just like her sister Chor Yee. Max is getting quite a bit of attention for his role as Ziyi's "see hing" and back during Couching Tigers, he had already been Ziyi's stunts double, therefore they developed a deep friendship.

The Zhang family, including Ada's soon-to-be 2-year-old daughter Zoe, were dressed in green to match the colour theme of the baby shower. The second time mother-to-be was also presented with a 3-tier green-coloured cake, topped with a teddy bear.

Guests, including actresses Monica Chan and Kitty Lai, were also served with vanilla cupcakes in a fun event that was held at a park that was decorated with green flowers and white umbrellas.

The actress, who recently hinted that they will be welcoming another baby girl, updated her Weibo, stating, "Our good friends organised a baby shower to celebrate the arrival of the latest addition to the Zhang family. Thank you to my friends for their love, and thank God for the wonderful weather! We enjoyed ourselves immensely!"

In related news, the eight months pregnant Ada will soon launch a baby apparel line, in which she and a friend had invested in together.

Pregnant Ada Choi appeared dressed in a beach outfit with her husband and daughter, along with a group of kids to shoot a commercial for a new line of children clothing. Ada expressed this is her first time making a business investment, she frankly expressed her daughter gave her the inspiration. It turns out, today's children really have their own opinions too and love to match their own outfits. Ada's daughter is just 21 months old, but she's already picking out her own clothes and shoes. She praised her daughter for inheriting her parent's character, she loves to look at herself in the mirror. However, yesterday when she was shooting the commercial with her daughter and the rest of the kids, they got her running around and gave her a headache. Also, her unborn baby is starting to kick her, so she felt exhausted and had to take several breaks.

Lawrence Ng entered the industry in 1983 after graduating from the 12th TVB Artistes Training Class. He started off playing villains and later switched to professional roles, such as doctors or strong businessmen. Lawrence frankly expressed he can fall for someone easily and therefore has had several rumors in the past with his co-stars. He was first rumored with his classmate Yammie Lam, then with Ada Choi in 1998 from Healing Hands, 2002 with Iva Law from Fate Twisters. Ada Choi's rumor drew the most attention. Although the two never officially developed a relationship, Lawrence admitted he really did fall in love with her!

LAWRENCE: "In 1998 I was shooting producer Gary Tang's Healing Hands. I portrayed neurosurgeon Dr. Ching Chi Mei (Paul), the role was very well-received and the pairing with Ada Choi was very popular. That year we won the Best On-Screen Partners award at the anniversary and even in 2001, we won the 'My Favorite On-Screen Partners' award for Healing Hands II. The pairing was well accepted and my "relationship" with Ada was even more expected.

Working with Ada, we really do indeed have a lot of chemistry, many people asked me if I developed actual feelings for her? At the time, neither of us were married yet, I saw she was a beautiful girl and pretty nice, I really did think about it! At the time, we continued collaborating in a few more times in other series and became friends. A couple starts off as friends, then develop mutual admiration and finally develop into deep love.

Although I am an actor, to me, acting and reality are actually about the same. Once the cameras start rolling, I treat it as if its real. In the series, I really did fall for Ada, but in real life she's actually very rough and mean, very much like a "big woman". Off screen, I really did have the feeling like love sparked, I really thought of pursuing her! Back then when we were in Files of Justice V, we were already playing a couple, then the second and third time was in Healing Hands. We slowly came into more contact, but Ada was upset because she said I only started talking to her after the second or third time we collaborated! That time, it was difficult to get out of character for me, perhaps I really had the feeling. I thought...actually Ada really isn't that rough after all! At the time, I didn't tell her [about the feelings]... I didn't have the courage to tell her! I have to really think about it first... we were initially good colleagues and if this ruins the relationship, that wouldn't be good! In the end, because I was afraid of damaging the relationship, the feelings eventually faded!

Then in Healing Hands III, we had already become very good friends. When Ada got married, she invited me to her wedding and usually when I come back to Hong Kong, I would go visit her too because I'm familiar with her husband (Max Zhang) too! We collaborated in a Mainland drama before, at the time the producer told me they were dating. I can say I watched them date and I'm happy that she found her Mr. Right. At the time, I also met my current wife (Sek Yeung Chi). Many fans have asked me about my "feelings" for Ada, and I have said it before on Weibo. Ada responded to me too, she said luckily I didn't actually liked her, otherwise I would be in such misery! Haha!

In 2002, when I collaborated with Iva Law in Fate Twisters, we developed feelings after seeing each other day and night. However, we were only together for a year. In between, I went to Beijing for work and found another girl, who was even more suitable for me. Unexpectedly the media started saying that I was a three-timer and called prostitutes. I was very upset, it was really hard to take. In the end, we broke up because of this incident."

Ada responded to Lawrence's confession that he did have feelings for her in the past. She said: "Of course I felt it. Actually I had several pursuers in this industry, I know clearly who I can only be friends with. After all, I won't risk losing my friendships!"

As Lawrence's good friend, Ada frankly expressed they have differences in their personalities, "It may not be his problem, it could be my problem. And I wanted to find a Christian boyfriend! (Convert him?) No, Lawrence was Christian too, but he later converted to Buddhism. But, Lawrence is a very loyal friend, he's a great friend. One time a PA asked us if he could borrow some money from us, but he sounded like he was lying to me, so I didn't agree to lend him the money. Lawrence, on the other hand, did lend him the money. Yesterday afternoon Ada announced her pregnancy on Weibo, she shared a family photo of her with husband Max Zhang and her daughter. She wrote: "I have a secret...do you want to know? We have another member joining our family, that is my own brand of children clothing, launching next year! I'm so excited! I believe you all will definitely support us! That is correct, next year my daughter will have a companion! Are you all excited? Happy? The Cheung family wants to thank everyone for your love and concern."

Many good friends including Zhang Ziyi, Charmaine Sheh, Hacken Lee, Bernice Liu, Christine Ng, etc. all congratulated Ada. Ada's manager confirmed her pregnancy yesterday: "She is pregnant, it's a snake baby! (Ada's jobs is affected?) We had always been discussing some series, and turned down a few, but she will still take on the advertisements and functions. She does not know if the baby is a boy or girl yet. Earlier this April, Ada Choi was on the road driving when a mosquito distracted her. Because she was busy trying to hit the mosquito, she lost control of the car and crashed into the lamp post. Her car suffered minor damages, but she didn't have any injuries. After the accident, Ada called the police immediately and the officer charged her for careless driving. Yesterday afternoon, Ada appeared at the Tuen Mun court for her hearing and she pled guilty. She was fined HK$950 for her accident.

Yesterday afternoon, Ada groaned on Weibo: "This is the first time in my life that I've gone to court. And the reason was because I was hitting a bug...ahh...I really really dislike court, it feels so uncomfortable... I hope this is the last time in my life that I'll have to go to court."

When Ada left the court, she shouted to reporters that she has no makeup on, so don't take any pictures of her. Then she waved goodbye and left.

Later, Ada accepted an interview over the phone. She frankly expressed she wasn't scared, just feels uncomfortable to go to court. "I just hoped to get it done as soon as possible and leave!" A few days ago, Ada Choi completed shooting TVB new series Beauty At War in Hengdian and then went on vacation to Singapore with her husband and daughter Chor Yee. Ada was in a great mood, often posting on Weibo. Aside from being happy, excited, anxious, alarmed, worried and surprised, Ada expressed "I don't know how to describe my feelings" while on her Singapore trip. Netizens suspected Ada and her husband successfully got pregnant with their second child while on vacation. Although Netizens left comments such as "Little Chor Yee is going to be a big sister" and "She's not pregnant is she?" Ada did not respond to any of the comments. It is suspected because it hasn't pass the 3 month sensitive period, therefore she cannot announce the good news yet.

Yesterday [Oriental Daily] contacted Ada to confirm the pregnancy rumor. She responded through SMS: "Because my daughter had a high fever and a rash, but she's better now. I was worried for 3 days. (Pregnant?) You all think too much!" Ada's manager said: "From what I know, she's not. What she wrote on Weibo is probably about something else."

Ada Choi and Moses Chan are currently shooting in Hengdian for TVB new series Beauty at War. As there is a fee of 100RMB (HK$120) to tour the Hengdian World Studios and see the stars, nearly 50 tourists rushed in to see the artists filming from afar. However, the tourists eventually broke past the restricted line set by the crew and went up towards Ada and Moses for pictures. When Ada was busy being interviewed by the media, she pitifully became part of the set for tourists to take pictures and couldn’t make a sound.

Ada admitted after the hot broadcast of Empresses in the Palace (後宮甄嬛傳) in Mainland, she got a pay raise. Back then she was still carrying her, at the time, unborn daughter when shooting that drama. Ada laughed that her daughter Chor Yee brings good luck and since Chor Yee's still young, she's taking her everywhere she goes because she's afraid she won't have the chance once she starts school. Ada exposed her beloved daughter is very sticky, like a koala, she laughed: "Moses said there's a great possibly my daughter's going to be a martial artist or athlete when she grows up." When speaking of Mainland artists being too expensive? Ada said: "A price like that indicates the artist is very laborious. If there's a good script, then artists won't mind if there's a pay reduction."

Mainland Endorser sues Ada

Also it was said Ada and her endorsement company went to court in Mainland. Ada's manager expressed the hearing is still in the process: "Ada is not looking for compensation, but rather justice. Earlier we found on Weibo that the advertisement was still up after the contract expired. We already sent multiple warning letters to the company, but they didn't care and even sued Ada back for breaching the contract during her pregnancy. The contract did not say there would be a penalty if she's pregnant nor did it say Ada had to give a month advanced notice when she attend events. The boss of that company basically have no evidence to backup their claims."

Last year on May 11th, Ada Choi and her husband Max Zhang welcomed a beautiful little girl (Cheung Chor Yee) into their lives. Last year Chor Yee was still in her mother's tummy and wasn't able to spend Mother's Day with Ada, but this year Ada can finally celebrate Mother's Day with her daughter after celebrating her first birthday.

Of course it is wonderful to celebrate both daughter's birthday and Mother's Day at the same time, but the most exciting part is her husband Max has finally applied for a Hong Kong citizenship and can come to HK often to be with his wife and daughter. Yesterday afternoon, Ada and her family went out for a family day in Causeway Bay.

Witnessing her husband becoming a true Hong Konger, Ada officially says goodbye to the 'single parent family' and can happily celebrate with friends in Tsim Sha Tsui. The couple first went to buy new clothes for their daughter, little Chor Yee was seen very active at the shopping mall. Running all over the place, Chor Yee, ran into a shoe store and accidentally bumps into the shelves and falls down. Chor Yee cried loudly and Ada quickly went to give her beloved daughter hugs and comfort.

Children instantly forget the pain the moment they see something interesting. Not long after the accident, Chor Yee was already attracted to the ice cream shop and pointed to the window. Ada saw this and went to buy 4 ice creams, one for each of them.

Ada's daughter is already 10 months old, and is starting to learn walking. Watching her daughter grow, Ada feels blessed and excited, but because she's busy shooting WABII, she doesn't have time to take care of her daughter. She said: "Earlier when I was shooting 4 months for a series, it was so painful because I wouldn't get the script until the night before, I get so nervous and when I get home I go straight to study the script. When my daughter crawls over and gives me a hug on the legs, I had to neglect her because I was just too busy memorizing the script."

Ada was asked if she would ask the producer to release the script earlier? She: "No choice, smart scriptwriters are like that. I'm used to it after so many years of collaboration with Ah Chik (Producer Jonathan Chik) and [Chow] Yuk Ming. I personally just want to have enough sleep, so I have energy and better memory." Ada plays a nanny in the series, when asked if she'll have to put in a fake breasts for the shoot? She said: "Not necessary. I'm an expired nanny, just responsible for telling people to go feed milk."

Yesterday Moses was 40 minutes late, making everyone wait for him before they could begin the blessing ceremony. He said: "I totally forgot it was the blessing ceremony today. Housing investment, not moving to a smaller home

It was reported Ada had to move from a big to a smaller house because of her mother, who loves to gamble. She clarified that because her husband wanted to use the savings to invest in real estate, but encountered high housing prices and when they placed in their deposits, the offer price was countered: "How can we live in a 500 square feet house! Aside from the children debt, we have no other debts. We are one happy family. My relationship with my mother is great. It might be more than baby blues for actress Ada Choi, who is experiencing a drastic decrease in jobs after childbirth. The new mother is reportedly in financial trouble after news broke that she had sold her Yuen Long bungalow and is looking around for a reasonable-priced apartment to rent.

According to an insider, Ada is putting her current home up for sale at HKD$9 million (SGD$1.46 million), and has set her eyes on a two-bedroom unit around 500 square feet in an old building located in the city area.
"Ada is planning on moving out of Yuen Long and back into the city, partly because of her daughter's future as the place has a lot of renowned schools," said the insider.

"But I don't understand why she is scrimping and look for a place that is almost as old as her," added the insider. It is rumoured that the 38-year-old is trying to increase her cash assets to handle the costs of raising her daughter and financing her mother who has zero income and a gambling addiction.

In earlier reports, Ada's mother was seen at casinos in Macau during the death of her maternal grandmother, leaving the actress to handle the funeral matters all by herself.
When asked if her relocation has any links to her mother's addiction, Ada replied sternly, "thanks for your concern but please do give me some personal space!"

Ada Choi’s maternal grandmother recently passed away. While Ada was at the mortuary identifying the body of her grandmother, Ada’s mother was discovered to be gambling away at a casinos in Macau. It appeared that Ada’s mother did not prioritize the funeral arrangements in the passing of her own 90-year-old mother, leaving Ada and the rest of the family in handling the funeral. Asked to confirm whether Ada’s mother had in fact continued to gamble despite her own mother’s recent death, Ada’s manager noted that is was inappropriate to comment upon the family affairs of artists.

Satisfied with everything after having a daughter, Ada Choi attended a parenting course last night and exposed of her miscarriage early last year. Yesterday Sheren Tang, Moses Chan and Ada Choi were shooting the War and Beauty 2 (WAE2) Sales Presentation clip. Ultimately, the original cast Bowie Lam, Charmaine Sheh and Gigi Lai weren't able to participate. Ada Choi is newly added to the cast.

Yesterday Ada was dressed like a palace maid, she laughed and said she's starting from the bottom and work her way up. If she were to be the Empress from the start, then it would be meaningless. Asked if she's the confirmed cast for WAE2? She expressed she's already participating in the Sales Presentation, so of course she hopes to be part of the actual series, but the details have not been discussed yet. My husband sent me a picture of her, but I am happy too because this proves my daughter needs me! I cannot not work, I still need the experience in these type of situations! (Have you been poached?) I already had a contract before I had my daughter, I will not ask TVB for more work because of the poaching!" Ada reveals she still signed a contract for 3 series before she had her daughter, since WAE2 is 40 episodes, it is like she already 2 series.

Back then, Sheren was the big villain in WAE and had caught the audience attention. She does not know if she will continue as Yu Fei, but she hopes to participate in the sequel. Asked if its because Rosy Business 3 (RB3) was aborted that she agreed to shoot WAE2? Sheren expressed Producer Lee Tim Shing for RB3 hasn't contacted her, the writer Cheung Wah Bui hasn't returned. She just knows producer Jonathan Chik invited her to WAE2.

Moses Chan was unsure if he's going to be continuing his role from the last series, but he still hopes for the chance to bring the original cast back. Asked if he feels pressured to be in a grand production? He expressed the more artists participating in the series, audience will enjoy it more. When speaking of new series Forensic Heroes III, his girlfriend Aimee Chan will have a bra-revealing scene? Moses said he knew beforehand, Aimee is an artist, so he shouldn't oppose of her performances, but he will personally skip over that scene and not watch it.

Producers of sequel to "War and Beauty" was said to have approached the Hong Kong actress.

Hong Kong broadcast station TVB would soon begin work on the sequel of blockbuster drama War and Beauty.

Chik Kee Yee, the producer of the series, had hoped that actress Ada Choi would join the cast. However, Ada was said to have made harsh demands, as she had recently given birth to a daughter and would like to place her family as her topmost priority.

Both parties are now locked in a stalemate.

Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh, Sheren Tang and Maggie Cheung are expected to reprise their roles in War and Beauty 2. Best Actors Wayne Lai and Kevin Cheng would also be added to the cast.

However, Gigi Lai and Bowie Lam would not be returning for the sequel.

With the lack of female actresses in TVB, Charmaine and Ada, who had always pulled in high ratings, are now the more popular choices.

Charmaine and Sheren, who had ventured overseas, had doubled their fees, and although Maggie is not as popular, her asking fee had also increased.

An insider said that Ada is making use of this chance to ask for a hefty payment. She wanted to be paid HK$10,000 and HK$60,000 (S$1,000 to $9,000) more than Sheren per episode. Furthermore, the actress also had a list of terms which she wanted TVB to adhere to.

"It's already too much for Ada to ask for such a high price. Her most outrageous request is to work for only eight hours, all so because she wants to take care of her daughter," an insider said.

Currently, characters which are yet to be confirmed for War and Beauty 2 included Ada's and a few minor supporting roles.

Other actresses such as Tavia Yeung and Myolie Wu had stepped out to win a part in the drama.

Myolie, who had blocked out her schedule for the next two months, looked like a strong contender; while Tavia, who previously starred opposite Charmaine, in the period drama Beyond The realm Of Conscience was said to have a strong chance of getting a role.

The day before, Ada Choi and her husband took their daughter out to Church. That afternoon at around 2pm, Ada was seen leaving the church and walking towards the parking lot nearby. The chubby baby Chor Yee was carried by her husband Max Zhang's sister-in-law. Although Chor Yee is only 3 months old, she is well spirited with her eyes looking around, and her chubby hands and feet are just so cute.

Reporters approached Ada, who was in a great mood. She said in a spoiled child voice: "I don't have make up on." Asked if she especially took her daughter out to share the family happiness? She said: "I don't have work now, so of course I'm enjoying family happiness. I stay with my daughter every day. Although baby caring is difficult, I'm still happy. My daughter is behaved and cute."

Ada reveals her daughter is over 16 pounds now, but because the weather is too hot, she shaved off all her daughter's hair. Currently breastfeeding, Ada is working hard trying to lose the weight: "In fact, I'm keeping it pretty OK. Just about the same as before I gave birth."

When speaking of War and Beauty 2, Ada said: "Still discussing because this is a grand production. If I could take part in this series, then it be pretty good, of course it be great! However, the earliest I can start is next year." When asked when she starts shooting series again and her daughter hasn't got off the milk yet, won't that be troublesome? She said: "I'll think about it next year. Within this year, I won't be shooting any series."

The actress posted pictures of her daughter, taken at her one-month-old party. TVB actress Ada Choi's daughter Zoe Zhang turned two months old on July 11.

In the photos which Ada posted on her microblog, the actress, who rarely put on makeup during her confinement period, was dressed to the nines. She even received compliments from netizens for her pretty looks.

The actress also wrote on her blog: "Baby Zoe, I'm grateful for the Lord, who brought you into our lives, as I watch you grow up by the day. Time flies and Mummy really cherish each day you spend with us. Yes, I must cherish [these times]. I'm really reluctant to let you grow up so fast, but at the same time I hope to see you through various stages of your life! It's really ironic. With a blink of an eye, you are already two months old today! I love you! I really do!"

Ada also mentioned that as she was all dolled up for the party, Zoe did not seem to recognize her.

Zoe, who weighed about 4kg at birth is now about 6.4kg and is starting to look more like her father Max Zhang.

Ada's fellow TVB actor Roger Kwok -- whose wife recently gave birth to a baby girl -- announced on his microblog yesterday that he would be sending ginger and vinegar to friends and family soon. The gift is a traditional gesture to announce the arrival of a newborn.

Roger also chatted with Ada and the pair promised to visit each other.

On the 11th of last month, Ada gave birth to a 9 pound, 4 ounces baby girl (Cheung Chor Yee). Since then, the mother and daughter have not made a public appearance, but the first time mother is often on Weibo posting photos and shared her baby caring experiences with everyone.

Focusing on the first month, Ada is following the tradition fully. Up until today, her baby's hair still has not been washed. However, yesterday Ada, who rarely leaves the door, sent off her husband to work in the morning then went out on a joy ride with her 6 month old in the afternoon.

Yesterday at 2pm, Ada drove her car beloved daughter and her caregiver out of her Yuen Long residence and straight off to the supermarket. She parked the car and left the caregiver and baby in the car to wait. Wearing a hat and a long tight gray dress, Ada has lost quite a bit of weight, but she still keeps feeding breast milk to her daughter, and jumped three cup sizes. Ada is now an E cup. She quickly walked into the supermarket, carefully picking out oranges, apples, bread, vegetables and other healthy foods.

When Ada came out of the supermarket to pick up her car, she saw reporters and appeared surprised, but she was still friendly. She smiled and greeted reporters. When asked why she didn't bring her baby girl into the supermarket? Ada said: "The weather is hot, she should stay in the car to rest." Ada Choi was expected to due on May 17th, but the day before, Ada already started feeling pain and gave birth to her baby daughter 6 days early at Canossa Hospital. Ada once had a wish to personally experience the natural process of giving birth, but in the end it was not successful and the doctor had to give her a C-section to help her. Ada's baby daughter was born at 5:11pm, weighing 9 pounds and 4 ounces. Her name is Zoe Cheung Chor Yee (張楚兒). Yesterday Ada wrote on Weibo announcing the good news and posted a family photo!

A mother for the first time, Ada felt that the approach of a new life was very amazing, while her husband and father Max Zhang was so happy while carrying the baby, he couldn't stop smiling. He describes his daughter as a strong female because when she first came out, she did not have any loud cries, her hands and feet are thick and solid. Yesterday at 5:30pm, Max came down to the hospital's entrance for interviews with the media. A father for the first time, he first thanked everyone for the concern and then bowed. Ada's mother already went to visit her in the hospital, asked Max if both parents already visited? He said: "Everyone that should come already came. (When will Ada be discharged?)
