Yesterday Bowie Lam attended an awards ceremony hosted by a magazine. In the past year, Bowie has focused at the Mainland film scene and rarely seen in HK. When he encounters HK fans asking him of his whereabouts, he can only tell fans that he has already retired and that they should give up on waiting for his new series.

When speaking of the rumor that Sheren Tang developed depression from all the stress while shooting Beauty at War. Bowie said: "Perhaps I have good self-regulation, so haven't fallen ill. At the time, there was a lot of stress. I felt like I went from a veteran to a newcomer. My first scene was with Sheren, we NGed 40 times! I was about to start cursing from all the filming because the script was really hard to memorize and had too many drug names. When Sheren and I were watching the playbacks, I noticed she sat aside and cried to herself. She felt she didn't do a good job. I hope we're all healthy and happy now that its over."

Last night Sheren Tang, Ella Koon, Liza Wang, Sire Ma, Hins Cheung Kevin Cheng and Jacky Jai attended the Watsons Health - Wellness & Beauty Awards 2012. Sheren appeared in a great mood since she was laughing all the time on cameras. When asked if she's currently in a relationship? Sheren expressed with a wide smile: "If you guys say so. (Still choosing?) I'm happy. (Is he a Westerner or from HK?) I can only say that I'm happy." When reporters suggested she should follow Cally Kwong's footstep and publicly announce she has a boyfriend nicknamed 'God of Homes', Sheren said: "Well then, I have to meet a 'Acting God' and a 'Talent God'."

Sheren reveals she's currently looking for a new manager, she said: "I'm not considering the money. Choosing a manager is like choosing a husband. I must get to know them, admire them and use time to develop a relationship. Don't treat me like a money tree." Then Sheren smiled sweetly: "Boyfriend is for me to throw tantrums on, and manager is used for complains."

Yesterday Ada Choi, Sheren Tang, Alice Chan, Tracy Ip, Moses Chan and Kenny Wong attended the costume fitting for TVB new series War and Beauty II. The sequel has been completely repackaged with a whole new story, the relationships are tangled and complicated. Sheren will continue being the 'Yue Fei' in this series, but her role will be more friendly than the last series. She'll often have to help her younger sister Christine Ng patch things up for no particular reason. As far as her relationships go, she will be connected with a mixture of people including the harem's nanny Ada Choi and the playboy Chinese opera performer Moses Chan. In the Sales Presentation clip, a bed scene between Ada and Sheren was seen. Regarding this, Sheren said: "I believe we don't have those scenes anymore." Producer Jonathan Chik also said there won't be homosexual topics in the series.

It was rumored because the homosexual element clashes with Sheren's religion, Christianity, so she didn't really want to promote brokeback relationships and declined to do the scenes. The script had to be modified to accommodate her. She said a little upset: "No! Don't ask about these things, there's none. It's strange talking about this stuff. We, artists are very passive." She expressed the 'Yue Fei' in this series is a conservative person, and will not be frank about her relationships, so the series will rely on spiritual interactions. This has become her greatest challenge, Sheren laughed: "The most difficult is having to interact spiritually (i.e. using eyes), luckily I personally trained myself pretty well in the past few years."

Ada does not mind brokeback scenes

Ada is also Christian, but she said she hasn't received the script yet, so she doesn't know the direction of her relationships. However, she does not mind filming a brokeback relationship because she has done it before. She said each individual has their own limit, she will respect and admire as well respect all decisions made by Christians: "In fact, I don't accept ghost series or I may not even shoot intense bed scenes with men. Will have to see what the story line is trying to convey. If it's an vague sister relationship, then I can accept." She also laughed and said perhaps because she's a mother now, so this time she gets to play a nanny role.

Housing investment, not moving to a smaller home

It was reported Ada had to move from a big to a smaller house because of her mother, who loves to gamble. She clarified that because her husband wanted to use the savings to invest in real estate, but encountered high housing prices and when they placed in their deposits, the offer price was countered: "How can we live in a 500 square feet house! Aside from the children debt, we have no other debts. We are one happy family. My relationship with my mother is great. If the media wants to take pictures of my mother and I, then I can't help it, but please be fair to her, I don't want to comment too much."

Last year TVB aired reruns of 2003 popular drama War and Beauty in the late evening and still got decent reception. It was then TVB decided to get the original cast back to shoot the sequel to serve as this year's TVB Anniversary series.

War and Beauty II will start shooting next week. Since the series is seen as TVB's secret weapon, the cast and crew have strongly declined to reveal anything. Reporters have been actively trying to obtain WABII's storyline via various channels. It was discovered that the sequel is completely unrelated to the first series. This time, Sheren Tang plays a concubine that gets thrown in the Cold Harem, while Moses is a performer in Chinese opera. He'll be in a subtle love triangle with Sheren and Alice Chan.

Gigi Lai married and retired from the industry, Charmaine Sheh and Maggie Cheung left TVB. It appears that the strive to get the four War and Beauty FaDans back for the sequel will no longer happen. As for the group of second line actresses, such as Nancy Wu and Selena Li, they 'glared' at WABII (uninterested), therefore producer Jonathan Chik had to invite his favorite Ada Choi back and Christine Ng, who had been on hiatus for 2 years to focus on her beauty salon business. Alice Chan, who had just signed with TVB, is fortunate to be able to battle Sheren.

Reporters showed initiative in obtaining the WABII storyline. In the last series, many people died in the end. Initially Sheren's role as Yue Fei had the chance to leave the palace, but she decided to stay behind to continue the battle with the Empress. As for the sequel, there will be an explanation of why Sheren was banished to the Cold Harem. She tries to overcome boredom in the Cold Harem and went to watch Chinese opera, where she then met the lead performer Moses Chan.

Meanwhile, Moses and the FaDan Alice Chan are childhood friends and had the romantic feelings long ago. To get closer to Moses, Sheren asked Moses to teach her acting and conveniently reduce the time Moses sees Alice at the same time. Christine Ng, plays Sheren's younger sister, who had always been a vicious person. She made an excuse to build Sheren and Moses' romance, then Sheren won't be able to make a comeback in the Harem, so she asked someone to go murder Alice. The Yue Fei this time has a rather weak personality in the beginning, but in the middle when she learned how her sister plotted against her, she started turning evil in order to protect herself.

Last year in the WABII sales presentation clip, Sheren and Ada Choi had a brokeback bed and kiss scene. It was understood that the actual version of WABII will retain the brokeback element, but it was only be explained through the dialogue.

Producer Jonathan Chik saved the role for Ada, she will be playing the 'GuGu', that is she'll be the boss of the palace maids. She is responsible for serving Sheren, so she knew about Sheren and Christine's secret. Aside from Sheren and the concubines fighting for power, the palace maids are also in a competition. In the series, Ada will be getting framed constantly by Tracy Ip. However, in the middle of the story, Ada will start unfolding a chain of intense scenes with Christine because they will be fighting over court warden Kenny Wong.

TVB new series War and Beauty II will officially start early next month (March). 'Yiu Fei' Sheren Tang and newly casted Christine Ng were at TVB City yesterday for their costume tryouts. Because the crew didn't want the costumes to leak, the doors were shut to prevent the media from taking pictures.

Yesterday morning, Sheren was back at TVB City for the costume tryouts. Just trying out the hairstyles took several hours. The crew saw the media at the scene trying to do interviews and quickly closed the makeup room doors. They even used paper to cover the windows in attempt to protect Sheren's costume.

Christine will be playing Sheren's good sisters in the series, but it is not known if there is a homosexual relationship yet. She said: "I haven't looked at the script, so I'm not sure how the relationship is like." She claimed that she's a brave and a surged artist. As long as it meets the scale of television, then she'll be willing to go for it. She also expressed she'll handover her life to producer Jonathan Chik and hope he'll really make use of her brave quality."

Sheren Tang will be back in TVB to shoot War and Beauty II (WABII) in February. She is actively taking care of her skin in hope to look her best on-screen. Earlier in the WABII sales presentation, Ada Choi and Sheren had a 'brokeback' (lesbian) scene. Yesterday during Eileen Cha's radio interview, she expressed the plot describes the desire for love in a palace filled with loneliness. Ada Choi mentioned if the final plot of the series does revolve around the 'brokeback' theme then, she won't shoot the series. Sheren agrees, since she's part of a religion herself: "If the series does focus and promote 'brokeback', I won't shoot it." If it's just a side plot, then that isn't too strange.

Sheren will continue to play 'Yue Fei', but the character is different. She has different tactics and attitudes to control the palace. Currently, Sheren has not received the script yet, but believes the lines will be difficult to memorize. She also expressed her gratitude for producer Jonathan Chik for giving her the evil role back then, allowing her to see a different side of herself.

We don't need to do any communication prior and we still match so well!" She also said her collaboration with Wayne is enjoyable: "Anytime I see this great acting partner, my face would naturally have this super relaxed and happy expression. So there's no choice, must anticipate our great collaboration! Haha, we both said the same thing today, collaborate in a 'Middle-Aged Idol Drama'! Creepy, who is afraid of who!"

Yesterday Sheren Tang and Mandy Lam attended the Tin Shui Wai Mature Women Project. At the event, Sheren shared the setbacks and the ups and downs in her life. She said she encountered setbacks before too, one time she lost all of her savings, having negative assets in her career and household. In 1989, she didn't even have the money to pay for her mortgage and had to do whatever type of work was available, from being a DJ, voice dubber to stage work in Mainland. However, she remained persistent and didn't give up. Sheren said: "It is only when a person is poor that excites their willpower to fight. It is due to my life experiences that the things I learned are still useful today. (The current FaDans have been criticized of their poor acting?) They haven't experienced bitter and misery before!" She encourages women not to be discouraged if they are in a down time. Once you hit the bottom, there will naturally be a rebound.

Sheren will be shooting TVB's new series War and Beauty 2 in February or March next year. In the sales presentation, there was a bed and kiss scene that she had with Ada Choi. Sheren said: "This reflects the most shameful side of life because there are so many restrictions in the palace, so one would never have thought homosexual love would exist. This time, it is her first time kissing a female artist, Sheren joked she gave her first on-screen kiss to Ada Choi.

Mandy Lam is a breast cancer survivor, but she was still receiving treatment for a year. The doctor explained the longer the treatment is, the better her health will be. She expressed her wound still hurts sometimes, and her skin isn't as smooth anymore, so she is considering laser resurfacing. Mandy is currently just working on TVB show Pleasure & Leisure, she expressed she is able to endure the late night work hours, but since TVB understands her situation, Virgina Lok said it's better that she not work late hours.

TV Queen Sheren Tang attended the Watson's Health & Beauty Awards 2011. She reveals she is currently discussing a new series in Mainland and if all goes smoothly, she will be leaving HK in November to start shooting the series. At the time, she won't be able to participate in the TVB Anniversary. She said: "I actually rarely participate in the anniversaries. (Do you feel the TV Industry has recently been a huge mess?) I don't care. I usually place myself in other matters, so I don't think this is related to me. (Did you received a poach call?) I don't know, you need to ask my manager. I'm not just about the money when I work, I also want a good role like Jewels in the Palace. A role that can encourage the youth and people in difficulty. Giving back to the audience is much more meaningful."

Sheren laughed and said a good role does not necessarily have to be with old partner Wayne Lai. She said: "Let's change partners! Leave those earth-shattering love stories for Wayne."

Recently, TVB had been in talks with ‘golden’ scriptwriter Cheung Wah Biu about him returning to TVB in October and collaborating with producer Lee Tim Sing as well as TV King and Queen Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang for a third installment of hit series "Rosy Business". However, it has just been confirmed that Cheung Wah Biu was personally invited to stay at his current position (working for Next TV in Taiwan) by media mogul (and Next Media’s owner) Jimmy Lai – therefore, Cheung Wah Biu has decided to stick with his current job and will no longer return to TVB. Upon hearing the news, "Rosy Business" stars Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang expressed completely opposite reactions: Wayne was disappointed at not being able to collaborate with Cheung Wah Biu once again, whereas Sheren was thankful that she does not have to choose between the "War and Beauty" and "Rosy Business" sequels.

TVB has been planning its ‘grand production’ film projects for the coming year – in addition to filming the sequel to "War and Beauty" starting in February, TVB was also planning on filming another sequel to "Rosy Business" starting in April in anticipation of that series’ ‘golden’ scriptwriter Cheung Wah Biu’s imminent return to TVB. The intention was to reassemble the original cast of "Rosy Business" for another installment of the popular series in the hopes of once again gaining good results. However, at the same time, a dilemma also existed, as the 2 central characters in both series – Concubine Yu (from "War and Beauty") and Sister Gau (from "RB2: No Regrets") – were both played by Sheren Tang. This presented a huge problem in terms of scheduling, as Sheren not only has plans to participate in a movie around that time, it would also be difficult for her to carry 2 grand productions at the same time, since the filming schedules for both series would overlap – this meant that Sheren would have been left with no choice but to pick one of the series and give up the other.

Earlier on, "Rosy Business" scriptwriter Cheung Wah Biu – who had left TVB last year and went to Taiwan to work for the fledgling Next TV – had indicated that he was not able to adapt to life in Taiwan and missed his wife and children in HK; therefore, TVB’s management execs were trying to persuade him to return to TVB. However, in a surprising turn of events, it has been reported that Next TV’s boss Jimmy Lai did not want to let talent go, so he personally spoke to Cheung Wah Biu and made concessions to let him return to HK and write his scripts from there. On Wednesday (September 7th HK time), during a phone interview, Cheung Wah Biu confirmed that he will be staying with Next TV: “Previously, I had thought about returning to TVB, but over here [Next TV in Taiwan], they don’t want me to leave. Actually, the reason I had wanted to leave [Next TV] earlier was only because I couldn’t get used to living in Taiwan, but now that they are allowing me to write my scripts from HK, then I will stay. In terms of TVB, it shouldn’t matter, as they have a lot of scriptwriters of their own. As for Wayne and Tim Gor – yes, we are definitely very compatible and in fact we keep in touch with each other consistently. Hopefully, we will get the chance to collaborate again in the future!” In response to the reports that Cheung Wah Biu won’t be returning, TVB’s ‘golden’ producer Lee Tim Sing (Tim Gor) could not help being disappointed: “Aiye! Wah Biu not returning, makes it harder to reassemble the original cast, as the whole premise of RB3 is to use the same cast and create a new story around them. Currently, I’m working on the script for my new series "天梯" [loosely translated as “Stairway to Heaven”], which will start filming in April 2012, so no time to think about the "Rosy Business" issue right now.”

A happy situation comes to nothing

Previously, when Wayne Lai heard that Cheung Wah Biu would be returning to TVB, he was ecstatic at having the opportunity to collaborate with Wah Biu and Tim Gor again. Our reporter caught up with Wayne as he was filming for his new series "King Maker" -- Wayne expressed that he has already been in communication with Cheung Wah Biu and upon confirming the report, expressed that he was very disappointed: “It was already 90% confirmed [that Cheung Wah Biu would return to TVB], but I heard that the other side [Next TV] just received its television broadcast license, so they don’t want to let him [Wah Biu] go. For me, it’s definitely a ‘happy situation coming to nothing’ – I’ve collaborated with Wah Biu for many years and it has always been a very happy collaboration. From a work perspective, he knows what types of characters suit me best and is always able to play to my strengths – it’s to the point that we can easily collaborate and don’t need time to ‘warm up’. On a personal level, we are also quite compatible – even during the time that he was away, we continued to stay in touch via SMS. But I guess everything is dependent on fate – I’m already satisfied that I had the chance to collaborate with Wah Biu and Tim Gor for so long and each time being a happy collaboration. I can only hope that we will have the chance to collaborate again in the future.” With regard to rumors that Wayne has a chance to win the TV King award for a 3rd straight year due to GM Stephen Chan’s ‘return’ to power, Wayne responded: “That has nothing to do with it! Stephen is someone I respect and admire a lot, as he definitely has a lot of talent, however the reality is that all my interactions with him have been work-related only – on a personal level, I’ve never had dinner with him and definitely never had ‘secret’ communications with him. In fact, I’m the type who does not like to socialize and prefers going home after work. I don’t belong to any particular party or clique.”
Sheren Tang: Please don’t make me choose!

Wayne Lai may be disappointed with the lost opportunity to collaborate with Cheung Wah Biu again, however his co-star Sheren Tang has a completely opposite reaction to the news. Laughing, she responded: “Not disappointed at all! It’s actually better [for me] if Wah Biu returns later than anticipated. Both series ("War and Beauty" and "Rosy Business") are equally great series and I love both characters that I portrayed – please don’t make me choose between the two! After waiting so long for a sequel to "War and Beauty" and with Wah Biu returning at the same time, both series could end up conflicting in terms of schedule – if I had to give up one over the other, it would definitely be very disappointing and such a shame! I feel that God has his way of arranging things in a manner that works out best. Encountering a good script is like a encountering a good man – it will come to you at the most appropriate time.” (But both Tim Gor and Wayne are disappointed?) “We as humans may propose certain plans, but it’s up to God to bring them to fruition. I believe that God has his plans – perhaps Wah Biu will come back later during a time when it is better suited!” (If both series were to rely heavily on your character to ‘carry’ the series, how would you choose?) “This entire time, I only received notification from the company [TVB] that they would like me to film the "War and Beauty" sequel – I have not received any invitation from Tim Gor yet.” (But what about the reports that Sheren had decided on filming "Rosy Business 3" because the series had helped her win 2 TV Queen awards?) Sheren responded: “Can’t the people who made up those rumors be more creative? Even though I still need to consider my schedule and look at the script, it doesn’t make sense that I wouldn’t want to film such a classic, highly anticipated series! In fact, I’m taking this opportunity very seriously – when considering scripts for other series, I’m trying not to accept any Qing palace themed ones, as I don’t want there to be repetition.”

HONG Kong actress Sheren Tang, 45, made headlines last month for her honest opinions about Hong Kong network TVB.

Then, she criticised its low wages and long working hours, saying she prefers to work in China.

But that didn't stop TVB from nominating the actress for three accolades at the StarHub TVB Awards, to be held next month.

She is up for My Favourite TVB Female Character (as Cheng Gau-Mui in No Regrets), My Favourite TVB On Screen Couple (Wayne Lai and Tang in No Regrets) and My Favourite TVB Actress.

In a phone interview with the Singapore media, she wouldn't address her remarks about TVB, but revealed her passion for her characters.

How do you feel about being nominated for the three awards?
All nominations make me happy. They tell me that I didn't play the roles for nothing.

Is Cheng Gau-Mui in No Regrets your favourite role to date?
It's definitely one of my most challenging roles... She is so rough and masculine. It's very tiring to portray a woman trying to behave like a powerful man.

What roles do you hope to play in the future?
I prefer to play roles like the fourth wife in Rosy Business. She is gentle and very compassionate. She is the epitome of what a woman should be - and she uses love against evil. (I feel that my) dramatic work should remind people of the virtues of women.

The second StarHub TVB Awards will be held at Marina Bay Sands next month.

Hong Kong actress Sheren Tang has blasted Hong Kong TV station TVB for not paying its talents enough.
TVB also mistreats its talents and is notorious for overworking them, Tang said.
To date, TVB, arguably Hong Kong’s most prominent TV station has lost some of its most bankable stars including Charmaine Sheh, Bowie Lam and Sammul Chan to the thriving entertainment scene in China.
While the Hong Kong media has noted that an increasing number of home-grown talents are looking to expand their career overseas, Teng claimed it is not solely for the money.
“It is true that some of TVB’s talents have left the station for China because of the low wages. The highest payout for an episode is HK$30,000 (RM11,500).”
“But there are also other advantages of making a TV drama in China like having great outdoor shoots, having more room to express ourselves artistically and of course, having more roles to choose from,” said Teng.
She added that TVB constantly faces a shortage in budget, lacks creativity and is too commercialised.
“Shooting in Hong Kong also takes up a lot of time. When it’s over, it feels like you’ve been wrenched dry,” the actress said.
“TVB talents are often overworked.”
However, Teng said she has never rejected any scripts from TVB in favour of filming in China and hopes that things will get better once a new boss takes over.

Following Charmaine Sheh's departure to Mainland for the Chinese Yuan, TV Queen Sheren Tang also turned down a new series because of the money. Initially TVB planned to cast Sheren and Moses Chan for a new series in May, but because a Mainland producer offered tripled the price to invite her over, eventually Sheren gave up on Moses and went for the money.

This year Sheren is not scheduled to shoot any TVB series. It was said that TVB initially planned to cast her in the upcoming concubine costume drama in May co-starring Moses Chan, and hope the two continue their sparks from 2004's War and Beauty. However, Sheren turned down the series.

Sheren started her career off in the TVB training class, in the early years she had always kept a "per series" contract with TVB. It was rumored that the series she turned down was TVB's sequel to the popular Qing dynasty drama Jade Palace Lock Heart (Palace). Although Sheren arrived in Mainland earlier than Charmaine to dig the gold, but because the Mainland series she's offered has a strong behind-the-scenes crew, is a grand production and is definitely going to help Sheren in the Mainland market, plus she is paid 100,000 per episode, which is tripled that of TVB. In fact, since Sheren got her TV Queen title in HK, her Mainland price jumped from 70,000 to 100,000 and TVB's pay is about 30,000 per episode. No wonder Sheren was moved by Mainland's offer.

Reporters contacted Sheren over the phone and asked about the Palace sequel? She said: "It's not a sequel, it is the producer of Palace that is starting another series, but nothing is confirmed yet."Asked if TVB invited her to participate in a new series in May? She denied: "TVB did find me to collaborate with Moses Chan before, I also really wanted to because after last time's collaboration in War and Beauty, we haven't collaborated in a long time. However, the Mainland series I'm going to shoot clashes right with that TVB series' schedule. So, I wasn't able to shoot TVB's series, which I feel is a pity." It was said that there are currently a few Mainland series with Sheren in it, so it is estimated that she won't be able to shoot any TVB series this year.

Also, reporters contacted Producer Nelson Cheung to ask about his plans for a new Sheren and Moses series in May. He said: "I did have that preliminary thought." Did Sheren have to shoot a Mainland series, so she turn down TVB? Nelson said: "This you should ask her, I cannot answer for her. Her schedule was unable to match this series' schedule." Asked if he wanted to ask Sheren to play a famous concubine in the new series? He said: "At first I did have that thought, but we already changed the subject matter." Asked about the new serial's cast, he expressed that besides Moses, there is also Myolie Wu, Bobby Au-Yeung and Linda Chung.

Yesterday Sheren Tang attended the 'Family Watch Angel Plan' event as a guest. She laughed and said that although she's a not a parent herself, she is still responsible as a member in society to show concern for the problems Hong Kong youngsters are facing. When asked about Charmaine Sheh feeling discouraged after losing the TV Queen title to her, and has intentions on leaving TVB for the Mainland market, Sheren heard Charmaine's name and expressed: "Not answering." When reporters asked again, she said: "Nonsense! Impossible!"

Although Sheren is the Family Angel ambassador, the day before a Netizen raised the topic of her very old past relationship with Kong Wah. It was said that when Kong Wah's wife was doing a radio interview, she continued to 'talk bad' about Sheren that she had no taste. There were also Netizens who felt that Sheren's deliberate violation in the past was mutual agreement because they were both adults. After so many years, there is no point in bringing it up again.

Following her second win for TV Queen, Sheren Tang's career continues to grow into the next level. Asked about her New Year's wish? She expressed: "Hope there will be a new scene in my television career, and everyone has jobs." As for her love life, Sheren laughed: "Do not necessarily need love. (Would want someone there for you to whine sometimes?) I just learned how to whine because since youth I've relied on myself, I speak roughly. In the past, my ex-boyfriend said that I don't know how to whine, in the last two years I have been living with my mom and learned how to do so. I am an actress, how can I not know how to whine, but the real skill is I have to give up my thinking. I am currently in the stage of learning, give me some time."

Also, the day before Sheren invited Anthony Wong and some friends out for Japanese food in Happy Valley. Later, the media called Sheren, she said: "Actually, I knew Anthony before. That night he even told me that I was actually his 'see mui' because many years ago we were in the training class. We were chatting and eating, chatting so much we weren't willing to leave."

Miss Nine" Sheren Tang opened her 'golden mouth' and sang a song at Andy Lau's concert. She exposed that Andy was the first guy she brought back to meet her family.

When Andy introduced Sheren out on stage, he said: "This girl and I were a couple that were friends from childhood. She met me when we were studying, her hard work is seen by everyone, she's known as Miss Nine!" When Sheren came out, she exposed that she gave her 'first time' to Andy, she said: "Andy is the first guy I took to see my Daddy!" Andy said proudly: "Yes! I met her parents!" Turns out that when they were classmates, they played together often and Andy was occasionally a house guest at Sheren's home. Sheren laughed and said that she never thought Andy would use 'a couple who were friends from childhood' to describe their relationship because she had always viewed Andy as a big brother. Andy's hard work never dies, so she made him her striving goal.

Andy recalled the old memories, he said: "I saw that she really wanted to challenge herself, want people to appreciate her acting, so I suggested that she join the training class. I was pretty smart, met an heroine with my intelligant eye. I knew beforehand that she'll eventually become Miss Nine!" Sheren was very grateful of Andy's praises, every time when she's exhausted, she'll rest and sees Andy still hard at work, so she would then remind herself to continue her hard efforts. This time Andy wanted her to sing in HK Coliseum, at first she feared the challenge, but she has to be like Miss Nine, a woman with loyal spirit. Then she sang Star bringing the tone of the blues.

I can see Charmaine Sheh has talent

Sheren says: "Got the award for two years, and still haven't discussed on a new series, next year's TV Queen award probably won't have me! I know Charmaine has quite a bit of productions, I support that she'll get it next year! The Charmaine I know, she is a very hardworking artist. She's really good at memorizing the script, this is a rare talent to have. Have to understand that acting for Can't Buy Me Love is not easy, a comedy series having to be both likes and dislikes is even harder. Charmaine is amazing!"

At the awards ceremony, Sheren said to her award presenter Dik Lung "You didn't present the award to me yet!" This gentle tone melted audience who likes the role Miss Nine, this is Sheren's true self. Facing love, this two-time award winner is not as strong as how everyone sees her. Studying 9 types of personalities for several years, Sheren knows her personality is opposite of Miss Nine: "Miss Nine is considered the 9th personality, a leader of all and a very strong person. As for Sheren Tang is an alligator's head, she wants to be loved, not feel it. She wants her man to assume responsibility, help her decide everything, don't have troubles, but all along in this Chinese society, she cannot find her Mr. Right. She is considered the 4th personality!"

Have never met the right person

Very unfortunate, Sheren meets the wrong people are the wrong time, theres beyond beliefs, sobs, tormented will, but the main point is that she's in fact actually the person at wrong: "I haven't met the right person, not even one! In fact, I am the mistake! Towards love, my definition is all wrong. So, I never regretted, fortunately I only encountered one time where I thought about marriage. Why I decided not to marry, it is because I know there will be divorce. The me in the past, I needed a deeply worried feeling, when I don't have this feeling, I will immediately leave. I don't know how to tolerate, this is something that is wrong of the wrong! Currently, my view on love has returned to normal and healthy. Turns out that love is a long time favor, hope Sheren Tang didn't find out too late!" But, so what if it's late, the little island of Hong Kong has 7 million people, the reality is there are too many little men, trying to pretend to be big men. Not one of them can get Sheren's trust, there is not one who can keep her mind at ease. Ten years ago, the only event was when she met a Jewish man who set off the ripples.

Because of Religion Lost Good Karma

Sheren said: "There are too many men in Hong Kong that says I Love You on the outside, can take care of you, tell you to don't work, but actually what does women want? They never understood. Dating me, as soon as there are paparazzi following, they immediately gone with the wind. They won't tolerate my career. Ten years ago, I met a Jew, we interacted only briefly. He didn't have too much of a reaction when he found out I was an actress, but instead took me to see fireworks, walk the streets, allowing me to learn how to enjoy life. Unfortunately because of religious issues, we didn't get together. However, I remember every moment of that night."

Hoping to be loved, but at the same time gets defeated by her independent nature, Sheren possess double personality. How can this personality not interfere with her decisions towards her career. Everyone knows that TVB wants this TV Queen to become a biological daughter, but even Virgina Lok knows that her rebellious nature will be a difficult mission: "Miss Lok knows that Helen (her manager) and I collaborate well. There is no reason to destroy this relationship, so this issue (signing contract) never happened all along. But TVB raised me, the contract for me won't be a dead one, they will give me freedom. Just like Charmaine, she won't just go do anything."

As for contract in exchange for an award, Sheren laughed out loud. She has believed always believed in the saying 'Man proposes, God disposes'. "I actually think that after getting this award again, I will have more responsibilities, there will be no free lunch. Before I've been an undiscovered talent, I've been a supporting actress, having such success, besides being grateful, I will only cherish it!' Indeed, there are many undiscovered talents in TVB in the recent year that have gradually been explored. Sheren predicts that Power Chan will be the next Evergreen Mak, the applause he won was greater than any other lead artist. Turns out that besides hoping to be loved, Sheren also likes to go enjoy and share love.

Epilogue: Two-time TV Queen Serious Towards Work

December 7th, first time doing an interview with Sheren, that night was the 3rd day she became TV Queen. The executives invited the entire No Regrets crew for dinner. Sheren was very busy that night, and felt sorry as she said to the reporter: "I really am exhausted, how about expose the info over the phone?" She saw the reporter become stiff, so she couldn't bear to turn him/her down and did a 5 minute and 20 second interview. Cannot imagine in a million years, Sheren called back the next day: "I don't want to waste your time, can we chat again?" A TV Queen! Reporter received a favor from her, deeply felt loved!

On the other side, Wayne Lai, his wife Julia and son (Lai Jing Kiu) were also celebrating with 20-30 fans. Wayne's fans pulled out a "TV King Brilliant Wayne, acting king, once No Regrets appears, follows by brilliant lights" banner, a perfect match with Sheren's group. Wayne's fans were also very enthusiastic, after a group photo, they didn't even let Julia go, and wanted Wayne's hug.

TVB Anniversary Awards 2010 was held last night and presented 15 awards. No Regrets swept the 4 big role awards, the leading role and supporting role. The other popular series Can't Buy Me Love did not lose it all and got Best Series. TV King and Queen went to Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang respectatively as predicted by [Oriental Daily]. Charmaine Sheh won My Favorite TV Female Character, and the popular Moses Chan just got the 'pork' award!

TV King Wayne Lai happily lifted up his award and said: "Thank you TVB for growing me for years. I thought after last year's acceptance speech, I won't have another opportunity to say it again. Lau Sing is a role I really like, I will remember for life!"

TV Queen Sheren Tang had the whole studio cheering and applauding when she won, but the award presenter (Dik Lung) forgot to present the award to her. Sheren happily said: "Slient diligent work can be seen by people! Thank you God for giving me a crazy special characteristic, that allows me to be able to do well on my acting." Sheren did not forget to thank God: "Many people have no opportunity to stand on this stage, many people are silently working, pulling all nighters, it is difficult to film a TV series! Thank you God for giving me so many life experiences!" She then urged everyone to believe Lau Sing and Miss Nine's true love, watch the series and learn to cherish the people in life and world peace.

Charmaine Sheh wins Most Favorite Female Character

Later when Wayne and Sheren were interviewed backstage, the two happily expressed they won together creating history is extremely rare! As No Regrets lost the Best Series award, Wayne said: "The entire crew and cast, each one of us worked very hard, but willing to gamble willing to accept lost!" Asked if he signed a TVB contract? He said: "Not related, have to see the conditions, many factors!" Sheren expressed that this proves that the 'contract in exchange for awards' rumors does not confirm, both of them expressed that no one has approached them to talk about a contract.

Charmaine depended on Princess Chiu Yeung to win My Favorite Female Character Award, she maintained her smile on stage: "Very happy! This role is my most favorite! And have to thank the group of behind-the-scenes." Asked if she was disappointed in losing the TV Queen award? She said: "I am a little disappointed, but won't be unhappy! Audience liking it is more important than winning awards. She expressed that she won't be celebrating because she has to take an early flight back to Mainland tomorrow.

Raymond Lam wrote back to thank Mona Fong

As My Favorite Male Character Award went to TVB's favorite Raymond Lam, and also the TVB.com Popularity Award, asked if Mona Fong's 12 true message was in effect? Raymond said: "Then will have to count every word! (Win award again?) I'm very satisfied! Already surpass the expected!" He also expressed that he will give a written message back to Mona Fong on his Come 2 Me Concert DVD. Asked if he will write: 'No words can describe the gratefulness'? He said: "Something like that! (Afraid of more gossips?) There has always been a lot of noise." Popular Moses Chan only got Best Professional Performance Award, he smiled and said that he is not disappointed, he is a professional at comedy and making coffee, but on stage he said that "Best Actor Award is colder than water", Netizens made noise feeling that the award was a 'pork award'! (TN: In HK, 'pork award' traditionally means that everyone gets a share of pork, hence pork award. Netizens are saying that TVB gave Moses the award to make up for not getting any of the big awards.)

When Sandra Ng presented the Best Actor award, she stirred up the lively atmosphere, and even before she looked at the results she announced that Wayne was the winner. She also said Felix Wong wanted to say "totally very best". As Felix was on the Top 5, but he insisted on a no show last night, clearly still have issues with TVB.

This Sunday TVB Anniversary Awards will be held in TVB City. The whole city is anticipating to see who the TV King and Queen awards will fall on. In the last few days, there has been many predictions in the public, but audience voting had already ended on the 28th of November. All votes are being calculated by the lawyer, and controlling 'life and death' of the votes are by the 6 big players including Virgina Lok, Ho Lai Cheun, Tommy Leung, Catherine Tsang, K.C Ho and Chan Ka Yeung. Yesterday TVB established the evaluation committee to give the final holy vote.

According to reliable sources, the votes of the 6 big players lean towards Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang. Based on the numbers of votes by the audience, the current Top 5 for Best Actor (not in any order) includes: Raymond Lam, Steven Ma, Wayne Lai, Felix Wong and Moses Chan. The Top 5 for Best Actress are Charmaine Sheh, Sheren Tang, Linda Chung, Tavia Yeung and Jessica Hsuan.

Three Habitats Raymond Lam powerful enough to be Superstar

During an interview, Wayne expressed that this year's TV King race is fun because there is the idol star Raymond Lam and comedic Moses Chan. When asked who he personally supports, he frankly said: "Actually I really support Raymond because there really needs to be an idol in this industry, an idol is represented by one, leading the younger generation and gives everyone energy. Even if it's not this year, he will soon be the superstar idol successor. It really has been a long time that anyone has been successful in all three areas - music, film, TV."

First having TVB female boss Mona Fong's written support, then 'TV King' Wayne Lai's support, Raymond Lam's prospects is unlimited. In fact, Raymond is also very satisfied with the results from his music, film and TV this year. On the night of the TVB Anniversary Awards, Raymond is still busy shooting for a Mainland film, and felt pity that he cannot participate, but he hopes fans will understand.

Raymond loves tragic picks Wayne

Asked if he has confidence for the TV King battle? Raymond expressed: "I must say I have confidence, actually before I have never thought about the TV King award, but then after The Mysteries of Love aired, many people were talking about it. It was then that I was aware of this award, making me feel a little weird, but on the night of the awards ceremony, I'm still shooting a film in Mainland, and may not be able to attend, maybe it's not that perfect. (Strong opponents?) Moses Chan and Wayne Lai I like them both too, but I personally like tragic dramas more, so I will pick Wayne for No Regrets. I hope to work with Wayne in the future."

Moses Chan hangs 'half of the word win'

As for Moses, he expressed: "Wayne is an artist I really admire, we both feel normal about the awards, but the anxious atmosphere is pretty good too. Audience can watch happily, but of course if I get it then I'll be the happiest. Actually, this year I have pretty good luck, earlier I got some outside awards already. Right now I feel that I already have have half of the word win on my chest."

Depend on No Regrets to win all of TV Queen

Sheren's attendance to the awards ceremony focuses all the competition on the beauty. She frankly said that last year she already won TV Queen, this year she does not have as much pressure, she feel relieved. Asked about her confidence? She said: "I hope No Regrets wins TV King and Queen. Before I felt that just winning Best Series award is enough, but now I hope to go into a deeper level and win TV King and Queen, only then will attract overseas and Mainland audiences' attention. In 2006, the series I filmed La Femme Desparado won Best Series, but no one remembers. Everyone only remembers how many awards Charmaine Sheh won for Maiden's Vow. So, I hope No Regrets gets TV King and Queen too."
