King of Cantopop, Eason Chan, is rumoured to go on a six-month hiatus, starting from next April, to salvage his marriage with Hilary Tsui for his beloved daughter's sake, while resting his strained vocal cords.

Eason's manager could not be reached for comment.

The relationship between the celebrity couple was reported to be on the rocks, after the two got into a huge fight following Hilary's involvement in the drug party scandal.

The singer appeared to be in low spirits during his concert in Beijing last weekend and his manager had to calm and appease him.

Though Hilary's manager denied the rumours that Eason had yelled at his wife and warned her to "behave decently", she revealed that the former actress has indeed been in a bad mood lately.

She added, "Anyone would be unhappy when such things happen."

Speculation has it that Hong Kong singer Eason Chan got into a huge argument with his wife Hilary Tsui over the substance abuse case that she is involved in, sparking talk of a red light in their six-year marriage.

Sources revealed that Hilary was absent from her good friend Grace Ip's wedding last month with no apparent reason and left Eason to handle the awkward situation alone.

Two days later, the actress-turned-style icon posted a photo of actress Suki Chui's husband Kenny Wong, owner of the restaurant where the drug party took place, on her microblog. Her act invited abusive comments from her friends and left Kenny with no choice but to report the matter to the police.

Enraged by Hilary's actions, Eason reportedly rushed home to question his wife who was apparently unremorseful about her behaviour. As Eason was especially concerned that his beloved daughter Constance Chan would be embroiled into the situation, Hilary's loud retorts incited profanities-filled replies from the singer, causing the former actress to storm out of the house in the heat of the moment.

When asked on her family matters, as both parents have not been fetching her from school recently, Constance snapped at reporters and said, 'Too bad. Stupid!'

Hilary later flew to Japan, without Eason's knowledge, to hide from the attention. Though she looks relaxed in the pictures, it is believed that she is aware of the big trouble she has caused.

Eason is keeping a no comment stance on the incident, following earlier reports that a total of 23 Hong Kong artistes are being suspected of substance abuse during a dinner gathering which happened last October.

Metro Radio's annual Metro Radio Mandarin Hits Music Awards 2011 was held last night. Singers from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia all gathered together for the awards ceremony. Last night, Metro Radio presented a total of 98 awards. Eason Chan and Joey Yung both won 3 awards and were the biggest winners of the night.

At the afterparty, Joey wasn't eating much, she expressed she didn't have an appetite. Also, she is preparing for her upcoming World Tour Concert and her dance rehearsals are 4-5 hours each day, seriously difficult. As she is often the 'big winner' in music awards, asked if she has already gotten used to it? She said: "No, when you don't get awards, then you won't be used to it. Continue adding on to it, do well on my jobs!" She smiled and said the happiest moment in award ceremonies is being able to see all the singers together, a nice gathering to chat: "I'm preparing for my world tour now and each day all I get to see is the producer, and I'm alone while exercising, it's so boring I want to vomit. Seeing a big group of artists, I can do some laughing, catch up with everyone!"

After the show, Eason had to rush back to Mainland for work and was unable to attend the afterparty. Asked how he spent his late-July birthday? He said: "We went to Europe as a family, although we were all in the same country, our schedules were different because I stayed in the hotel all day to rest, very exhausted. I enjoyed some coffee and slept, everyone else went out shopping, to the zoo and gave me time to rest." As for being the big winner again, Eason laughed: "Wah Jai (Andy Lau) told me I had to contribute a part in the music industry. (Once you contribute, then you will get 3.5 awards?) Perhaps I put in all I got and only get half of an award!"

When Raymond Lam and Peter Ho won their 'Mandarin Strong Asian Popular Idol' awards, the event organizers put up sexy Chok photos of the them. Peter joked: "Seeing Raymond Lam's wet photo, I feel it's ridiculously Chok." Raymond laughed in response: "I have seen your photos too, which inspired me on how to Chok."

It was said Nicholas Tse will wrap up the shooting of his new film and return to HK this Friday. Then he will immediately head over to Cecilia Cheung's house to see his two sons Lucas and Quintus. He will be preparing for Lucas to start school as soon as possible. As Nicholas' good buddy, Eason Chan, earlier he held a concert in Malaysia. Yesterday he attended the 100 Year China Multimedia Production event created by RTHK and the HK Federation of Youth Groups, Eason expressed he visited Nicholas at the hotel while he was in Malaysia, but did not talk about his family matters.

At first, reporters continuously asked about Nicholas, but Eason kept doing Tai Chi to avoid the questions. When speaking of Nicholas' return to HK this Friday to see his two boys and start the child custody fight, Eason continued to drag out the topic: "On the 7th, I'm going to hold a mini concert on CRHK, fortunately he's not back in HK yet, and won't come watch it. If he comes to mess with me, he will steal all the attention from me!" When asked about the Nicholas-Cecilia battle for child custody, Eason said: "I do not care about anyone else children, none of my business! I'm just concerned for my own daughter! Honestly, I feel pretty annoyed seeing their news reported every day!"

Later, Eason admitted he did meet up with Nicholas in Malaysia, but it was just to say Hi. Later, they called room service and ate together, of course Andy On was there too. We ate and chatted together, but didn't talk about his family matters. (How is Nic feeling?) He never liked to talk, but when he's filming, he laughs. When he's into character he's Chok, he's called Tse Chok Fung!'

Eason Chan and Michelle Bai play a pair that are secretly married in new film Secretly Married Couple (隱婚男女). On their first collaboration, they already had to a wedding scene on the first day of shooting. Eason asked for the pictures to have a bickering couple feel and did over a 100 amusing expressions and poses. Michelle just blushed and appeared embarrassed.

At first, Director Patrick Kong thought that there was a problem with Michelle's makeup. After asking her, he found out that Michelle was in fact a fan of Eason, and excitedly said like a little fan: "I have always loved Eason's movies, listening to his music and hoped to work with him one day. When I knew I was going to be playing his wife in this film, I was so happy I couldn't sleep. Just now I already tried my best to calm my emotions down, but I naturally blushed and couldn't control it."

Universal Music and the other Big 4 record labels still have not resolved the royalty issues with TVB yet. Universal Music artist Eason Chan's contract with TVB already ended, which also begins Universal and ATV's series of planned collaborations. ATV hopes Eason will get more audience to watch their channel. ATV's executive (Sing Ban Yu) revealed to the media that Universal is currently discussing different collaboration plans with ATV and have already reached an agreement. The 5 new MVs to Eason's latest album will be broadcast by ATV.

Both sides are also planning on holding a concert for Eason, the performance space will be located on ATV's largest recording studio. Approximately a 1000 audience can be situated in it. The concert may not be held in the form of ticket selling, the preliminary idea is the possibility of inviting ATV audience into the studio.

Contract with Cinepoly Records soon to expire, the 'Award King' Eason Chan is recently been fought over by the major record labels. Many record labels are imposing 'super silver bullets' and even a 'super price' of HK$50 million - 500 million to get Eason. Although Eason keeps his mouth zipped tightly, the night before at 'RTHK Top 10 Chinese Gold Song Awards', perhaps he was too happy of winning 7 awards that he forgot about the 'secret' and leaked it out.

When Eason was on stage accepting his Media Recommendation Award for the song Tourbillion, he expressed: "Very thank you to my record label, hope to produce more good music for everyone soon." When he accepted an interview, Eason frankly said that when he's signing with a record label, it is not about the money, but is about the chemistry and fate. However, the chances of joining Gold Label is very small, he joked: "Because I don't want to see Edmond Leung, I'm already always seeing him."

Universal Music VP was asked about Eason's contract renewal, he said that the contract terms are handed over to (Chan Ka Ying), hopefully there will be an answer by the end of the month. Asked if they have confidence? He said: "There is a possibility." Chan Ka Ying expressed over a phone interview: "We all love Eason, gratitude without words. (Eason leaked it out?) You can guess."

As the big winner again, Eason won a total of 17.5 awards combined with the other 2 music awards (Metro, Chik Chak). Backstage, Eason laughed: "I like this number, I like 7, 17 is good!" But because he's a "Big 4" singer, he probably won't get anything at the JSG Music Awards. Eason said in a '8 por' tone: "Choi! There are more! There are other online awards."

The music scene's third report card, RTHK's 33th Top Ten Chinese Gold Song Music Awards Presentation was held last night. As EEG and East Asia boycotted, their singers did not attend, but RTHK still presented the awards to them. TVB also refused to broadcast the show. The big winner of the night was Eason Chan, he swept 7 awards all in one night. For the female singers, Joey Yung, Sammi Cheng and Kay Tse were tied with 3 awards. However, Joey and Sammi did not attend. On the contrary, Miriam Yeung didn't even get the Top 10 Gold Songs award.

Eason was on stage accepting his awards for the majority of the show, no wonder he joked: "I hope we all aren't getting bored." Eason laughed and said that he's been walking very slow on stage this evening, so he can see clearly how many singers are supporting him via eye contact. He said: "This type of music scene is unusually rare, I will continue to work hard and hope the music scene will have 100 flowers blooming together. Just like Anita Mui once told me, it is most important for a singer to be worthy of music fans." Hacken won the "Gold Song" award depended on his song Sinner, he said emotionally: "In last few years, the HK music scene has been going through a series of wind and rain, but singers can't do much, just can work on singing their songs well and pay back their supporting fans. Encourage each Hong Kong singer."

RTHK implies TVB released the news

DJ Lo Kai Sang was on stage bashing the other electronic medias, directly saying that this year RTHK's gossips is definitely "3-3 incomplete, 6-6 endless" He ridiculed the two big companies (EEG/East Asia) not taking part in the RTHK music awards, and implied TVB 'released the news' on them not broadcasting the show. He said: "TVB not broadcasting the show, our radio station keeps things very confidential, I also found out through the newspapers. I just saw Big 2 and TVB having breakfast by the peninsula. I have never seen a RTHK employee at the peninsula eating. TVB has the Big 2, but not Big 4. RTHK has Big 4, but not Big 2. Actually it's fine if we all broadcast on the same day!" At the show, it was seen that there were only several hundred seats, and fans are not allowed in. They were just allowed to stand outside to support their idols. As for the absent singers, RTHK played their MVs in replace of the live performance.

Chik Chak 903 Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation, it is now the 42nd week of song charting. The leading male singer is currently Eason Chan with 5 songs topping the charts including 無人之境, 陀飛輪, 一絲不掛, 講男講女 are all winning songs. Looks like this year's Chik Chak's "Male Singer Gold" is for him. Eason also has a great possibility to get "Excellent Album". Following Eason, there is Leo Ku with 3 winning songs. Hins Cheung only has 1 winning song, but he has 5 songs coming in, so making to the top 3 won't be hard.

For the female singers, last year's Gold Award Queen Joey Yung continues to lead in the race. She has 4 songs on the charts, with 桃色冒險 and 破相 are the winning songs. Also, at the end of the year, she'll be holding a 10 show concert which will boost her popularity. Also, Kay isn't weak either, she has 3 winning songs including 活著, 藝妓回憶錄, 脆弱. The two are going to have a heated battle with Ivana Wong following closely behind.

As for the "Chik Chak Group" there is FAMA, Rubberband and Mr. battling each other. "Singer-Composer Gold Award" is a battle between Ivana Wong and Eric Suen. For "Chik Chak's Top 10", temporarily there is Mr., Pakho Chau, Leo Ku, Eason Chan, Joey Yung, Rubberband, Hins Cheung in the lead.

Also, on the "4 Station Awards", it was said that the 4 stations already had the first meeting last Tuesday to discuss if they should cancel the "4 Station Award". The news say that TVB without the Big 4 record companies, RTHK and CRHK vote to cancel, but TVB insists on continuing. Metro has an independent stance. It was understood that RTHK suggested for on the spot voting, while others feel that it is necessary to consult the opinions of all HK record companies. Looks like the 4 Stations need to hold another meeting.

Once were "Best Mandarin Male and Female Singer" winners Eason Chan and Karen Mok flew to Taiwan earlier to attend Golden Melody Awards held the night before yesterday, both left empty handed.

Asked about his black face at the red carpet during the opening award ceremony? Eason said: "Because I saw rain drops dripping on Karen Mok from the umbrella the staff had, so I asked them to set it aside." Losing out on the award, Karen just looked at it as something normal. She recalls being on the Golden Melody Awards stage in the past with Eason Chan, Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung, she frankly said they were fun to work with.
