TVB Celebrity News

Last night Sammy Leung, Sharon Chan, Alice Chan, Derek Kwok, Louis Yuen and the rest of Friendly Fire's cast and crew watched the finale and had dinner together. The cast hopes for a sequel. The refreshing new pairing Sammy and Sharon has been well accepted by the audience and attracted several advertisers. Sharon disclosed Sammy earned a lot more milk money due to this series. Sammy admitted: "This series has brought me a lot more jobs and endorsements. I'm still discussing with one advertiser right now and got over HK$1 million income." He joked and said he's currently stealing TVB Siu Sang's 'rice bowls' (jobs), "Sharon got a slimming ad too, we're all getting a lot more income." Sammy suddenly called Sharon "mother", he said she takes care of him like a mother and teaches him how to pose for pictures.

Just Have to Beat ATV

After the finale aired, Netizens said there are lot of unrealistic scenes in the series. Sammy expressed his support and said the story line is reasonable, he said: "Perhaps Benz Hui took the bus or taxi home?" He also does not mind, Inbound Trouble getting all the attention. He said: "We took away The Confidant's finale limelight! That's how it is when a series replaces another series. Don't we just have to beat ATV?"

The other pair from the series, Alice Chan and Derek Kwok, had a chain of intimate scenes. Alice was asked whether her husband was upset seeing those scenes? Alice laughed and said her husband hasn't watched the series, "I'm not afraid that he'll get jealous, he already knew about how intimate we get before shooting. He is a professional viewer. (You and Derek had even more intense kiss scenes on the yacht?) A lot of it were cut, perhaps the producer saved the cut scenes in his own private collection. It would be best to release Friendly Fire Director's Cut, share the good stuff with others." Netizens praised Alice's hot looking body figure in the bikini scenes, and that she hasn't aged much. Alice laughed: "It was so difficult for me, I didn't eat for several days! It is because I didn't have any confidence, so I have to keep fit!" Derek expressed he had high expectations on their very intimate scenes and joked: "I don't think there will be anyone asking us to participate in a CAT3 film!"

Sammy Leung is in the current new series Friendly Fire, it was said he has a "foot addiction" (foot fetishism) and loves to secretly take pictures of actresses' beautiful long legs. Yesterday he responded to the rumor, "I'm not a psycho." He frankly expressed he was frightened when he saw the report, "I didn't know it was such a big deal, I didn't know what was foot fetishism. I only take pictures when I take they look good and I get their consent first. I even send the pictures back to them. I don't put them online and show the world. I know what pictures can be taken and what cannot be taken. I'll just think of this as promotion for my series, but I feel sorry for getting the leg pictures all wrong. (Who has the hottest legs?) Of course Sharon Chan." He also admitted his wife was upset because she became the media's target and was worried this would affect their children.

Many TVB artists have started developing up north (Mainland) like Charmaine Sheh, Myolie Wu, Ada Choi, Kevin Cheng, Roger Kwok, Joe Ma and more. Also with Ricky Wong coming in the picture and poaching artists, TVB is lacking artists to be in their series. The second and third line artists are repeatedly seen in series after series. It was said because TVB wanted to make up for the lack of artists, the company has been actively searching for external help, hoping to add refreshing feelings along the way. [Mingpao] discovered that Sammy Leung secretly did costume tryouts for new series Justice Pursue Attack 法網狙擊. He will be the second lead actor in the series alongside Michael Tse.

Sammy has once participated in several films such as My Sweetie 甜絲絲 and Love Undercover 新紮師妹 and has developed the Sammy and Kitty Drama Show for nearly 10 years. He has rich experiences on-screen and he has been working closely with TVB. No wonder he gets to play a lead role in his first series. It was understood that Sammy will be playing a police officer and is Michael Tse's younger brother, who plays a lawyer. The two 'brothers' Sammy and Michael will be involved in a relationship with Sharon Chan and Tavia Yeung respectively. Sammy excitedly expressed: "For my first official series, I get to be the second lead actor, the lead actor is Michael Tse. I play a true police officer and won't be the comedic type seen in Love Undercover. I feel pretty rusty in my acting, so I will have to put some time into practicing."

Sammy is not shooting a TVB series because of wanting to 'enter the house' or for awards. He and Kitty Yuen are already in the house (TVB) from hosting on TVB shows. He has never thought about awards. He just hopes to try something new. He wants to do a new version of Man of Wisdom 金牙大狀 the most, or maybe have his own works like Lawrence Cheng and Cheung Tat Ming. As for signing a contract with TVB and become a biological child? Sammy said: "Let's just shoot this one series first. I am very different from others, I came out of CRHK and I don't want to develop in Mainland." Asked if he's just being external aid for TVB this time? He said: "Not related, just coincidentally I have this opportunity. Thank you Tommy Leung and Virgina Lok for asking me."

Alice Chan is also participating in this series, but she is considered part of the supporting cast. Alice said she does not mind: "I have never appeared on TVB before, don't know what the power is." In the series, she will be playing a strong businesswoman and a villain that will do all kinds of bad things. Of course in the end, she'll get punished by the law, but the role has lots of room for development. Her role will have romance and family love in between. Because she treats and loves her brother dearly, even if he did a lot of bad things, she does everything to help him. Her evilness won't be clearly displayed, but rather more on the inside.

In other news, Patrick Tam was said to have join the cast of Beauty at War (aka War and Beauty II). He plays an imperial doctor, clearly substituting Bowie Lam's 'Suen Pak Yeung' role. Joey Meng replaces Maggie Cheung's role.

Last Friday (2/25), Sammy Leung and his partner Kitty Yuen talked about eating meat on 903 radio program Good Morning King. When eating pork, beef, chicken and rabbits, Sammy said that if dogs didn't have the Shih Tzu, Golden Retriever or Chihuahua breeds, then they will all be Mongrels and can be eaten at ease. Sammy's comment caused an uproar among those who love dogs. The comment was disturbing to them, especially the part where he directed the comment on how Mongrels can be eaten at ease. Someone on Facebook started a group demanding Sammy for an apology. In a short period, there were already 800 people supporting the group. The supporters were all denouncing that Sammy had no brains on discussion forums and said that he's long been a precedent to slip a tongue. For example, in 2006 he publicly announced the voting for "The Actress Want To Sexually Harass The Most". Some people even filed a complaint with CRHK and the Boardcasting Authority (BA). The BA stated that there are complaints by citizens that the program host talked about eating dogs.

Sammy still didn't know he disgusted the audience. Later on the program, he mentioned the issue again. He felt there are suspicions in 'playing to the gallery'. Since Sammy was unwilling to apologize, dog lovers plan to take it a step further and gather up the Mongrel dogs to the broadcast building and tell Sammy to choose one he believes that he can eat with ease.

Yesterday Sammy made a public apology on his program Good Morning King and said that he's been misunderstood. To any breed of dog, Sammy has unlimited support for them, if because of what he said made everyone misunderstand that he dislikes dogs or imply that other dogs are better than Mongrels, then he wants to apologize. Sammy said that he was troubled by this incident and was sleepless, causing his mom and friends to worry. He said: "I am not saying that I didn't say such thing, I am not a small potato, it's unnecessary for me to be that stiff." He also didn't want people to be unhappy, and hopes everyone will have a more loving heart. CRHK Foreign Affairs Department expressed that they have received opinions and reactions from the audience and handed the situation over to Sammy. On the program, Sammy provided an explanation.
