Leo Ku and his assistant Lorraine have been rumored for 17 years, but their hearts were connected keeping their mouth shut all along. The other night at Leo's 39th birthday party, the couple finally stood still to cut the birthday cake and took pictures in public for the first time with nearly 50 artists there to witness the 'Leo-Lor Love'.

The rumors began in 1994 when Lorraine started working with Leo. The attentive and considerate Lorraine successfully captured Leo's heart. Eventually Leo hired her as his personal assistant. In the last several years, Lorraine was willing to be the woman behind Leo, and although the "Leo-Lor Love" is a known secret within the industry, the couple always kept their distance at public events. In 2008 when Leo won JSG's 'Most Popular Male Singer Award', Leo thanked his 'girlfriend' who was sitting in the audience tearing up: "I want to thank my assistant Lorraine." Their relationship was quite obvious.

Yesterday it was Leo's 39th birthday, his boss Albert Yeung (EEG) spent 6 figures to host a birthday party for him and invited Joey Yung, Twins, Sherman Chung, Vincy Chan, Carlos Ng, Gigi Fu, Cally Kwong and many more. EEG's boss Albert Yeung and Executives Mani Fok and Ng Yue all attended to celebrate with him. To avoid the media's attention, Lorraine and Leo purposely walked into the party separately. Leo dropped her off at the backdoor of the hotel to help her avoid the cameras, while he walked through the main door.

At around 12am, the birthday boy Leo started cutting the birthday cake with the other EEG singers and colleagues. Albert and Ng Yue gave birthday kisses and then suddenly called Lorraine over. Lorraine, who had never taken a photo with Leo in public, quickly dodged to one side, but eventually she was pulled out by Albert. The helpless Lorraine was like a little shy girl standing besides Leo as they take their first 'public photo'. The JSG Best Ten Music Awards Presentation 2010 was held last night. Joey Yung wins the Most Popular Female Singer for the 6th time, breaking the late Anita Mui's 5 time record. This year in all 4 of the music awards, Joey has won a total of 14 awards, becoming 2010's 'Strongest Award Queen'. Joey emotionally said: "Never thought I'll get this award again. When people get older, many things are not viewed as heavily anymore. So many companions of mine love me very much, so many years of ups and downs, I depend on a beat of silly power, I will be constantly improving."

Recently it was rumored that Raymond Lam will be a 'double winner' because he got Virgina Lok's support, while Leo Ku got Stephen Chan's support. In the end, Leo got the Most Popular Male Singer and Raymond remained as the 'Asia-Pacific Most Popular HK Male Singer'. When Raymond got this award, Wong Cho Lam joked: "TVB's hard work can be seen in anyone's eyes." Although Raymond failed to be a 'double winner', the biological son still got 3 awards.

Two of Raymond's awards were with Miriam Yeung and Charlene Choi. On stage, both girls had to change to call Raymond 'Fung Gor' instead. Miriam said: "I've been in the industry for 15 years and this is my first duet award, really if there was no Fung Gor there wouldn't be this award!"

As for Miriam, when the 'Asia-Pacific Most Popular HK Female Singer' award was announced, Miriam was even happier the moment she heard her name: "Really have to thank Mr. Ting, for making me Mrs. Ting, so I can be 'Ah Tai' Most Popular Female HK Singer."

As for Big 4 singers, all of them were absent. TVB got EEG and East Asia's support, so most of the awards were given to their singers.

Yesterday Leo Ku attended a Christmas activity at the Miramar Shopping Centre. During the time, Leo drew a design representing the theme song he performed for No Regrets on a Christmas girl. As the MC mentioned to Leo that Miriam Yeung is planning to hold her wedding on Christmas, Leo was asked if he'll be like her? Leo appeared like he didn't know how to answer. Leo explained: "Christmas and marriage is not related. Also, I am young, not in a rush for marriage." But, he said that deciding to marry on Christmas is not bad because many people will remember it.

A few days ago, Leo had dinner with Stephen Chan, asked what he and Mr. Chan talked about? He reveals that they do not talk about work, Leo said: "I haven't seen him for a while. "Solar Project 2010 Southern Music Concert" was held yesterday. All participating singers and audience wore a yellow ribbon on their left wrist in respect of the Manila tour bus hostages victims and their families.

When the singers sang A Little Candle (一點燭光), everyone raised their left hands with the yellow ribbon, it was a very moving atmosphere. Leo hoped that our grief and anger turns into power, he hopes the lost victims rests in peace and gives support to the victims' family. Leo donated HK$100,000 in concern of the orphans lives and growth and also to support the victims' family. Leo said: "I saw the news while filming in Mainland, very heartbreaking and very angry. Right now I hope to turn troubles into support."

Joey Yung also felt very unhappy over the incident, after going through troubles, will be even more united, love conquers all. It proves that the people of Hong Kong "cannot be bullied". Joey used music to support the survivors, performing her new song The Wizard of Oz.

The other night, Leo Ku and Ella Koon performed Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui's classic song "Fate" on JSG. Ella joked that during rehearsal, she didn't dare to look over to Leo, she felt nervous and shy. Ella said: "Have to understand that singing love songs need to have interactions. When we performed the song for real, I definitely will open up a little." Is she afraid of Leo's rumored assistant girlfriend Lorraine being at the show? Yesterday, upon returning to Hong Kong after completing his concert in Las Vegas, Leo attended an RTHK event. When asked about the magazine’s story, Leo directly stated that the magazine made up the story and that he does not have the good fortune of being a dad any time soon. He said: “They [the magazine] waited until I wasn’t here to start making up stories like that – it is completely false! Reporting that I am going to be a dad is actually kind of funny because these types of things are hard to keep secret, especially since a couple months time will prove whether someone is pregnant or not…..the rumors will be automatically dispelled. Regardless, I still thank the magazine for making up ‘positive’ news about me at least.” (Were your parents unhappy that it ended up being a false alarm?) Leo replied that if he were really to become a dad, his parents would know before a magazine would, so fortunately when his family saw the ‘report’, they already knew it was false. Leo also emphasized once again: “For the time being, I do not have the good fortune of being a dad!”

Since Lorraine did not attend the event with Leo yesterday, is he concerned that the rumors about her being pregnant getting even more out of hand? Leo replied: “It’s just a coincidence that she didn’t attend. She is currently in charge of helping me run my design company and fashion business, so she is very busy. In a couple of days time though, you guys will probably see her. With these types of “made up” stories, I’m sure I don’t need to explain much – the general public will see the truth for themselves.”

During the interview, the topic of Jade Solid Gold receiving poor ratings came up. Leo indicated that the show is a good place for singers to promote their songs and he believes that it is unlikely TVB will cut the show completely, even with the low ratings.

Leo Ku will be staging his 3D concert at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Las Vegas Mandalay on May 29. He has invited Sherman Chung as his special guest too. Leo will be leaving Hong Kong on May 26 with 30 stage crew members.

As this is Las Vegas first 3D concert, the organization has arranged a few thousand 3D glasses to be used in the concert. The audience will enjoy a brand new experience with 3D visual effect. Leo did not plan to do this concert originally, but following the invitation from the hotel and the record company has also bought his copy right back, he has agreed to give it a go. The record company also made a lot of promotion for his coming concert. They put up a giant TV screen in Wanchai Hennessy Road displaying his forth coming concert in Las Vegas. That has attracted a lot of enquiries from the fans about his concert.
