Mainland drama The Purple Hairpin Romance starring Hong Kong stars Raymond Lam and Michelle Ye is currently filming in Hengdian. Michelle plays the song girl, Huo Xiao Yu (Fok Siu Yuk), who has blissful fate with Raymond's character Wang Shan Ke (Wong Sam Hak). Unfortunately, destiny plays games with them, the two goes through a bumpy road. According to the production crew, for a more touching story, Michelle and Raymond practically washed their face with tears. Even the behind the scenes staff couldn't help, but to say "they saved up 10 years of tears and used it all up!" When speaking of Michelle rather put efforts into crying scenes, Raymond frankly expressed: "Very fortunate Michelle and my own emotions were able to turn bitter quickly, so we basically had no NGs in these bitter and sad crying scenes. We completed it all in one take. This is the probably the most crying I've done in my 10 year acting career and the most heartaching drama. "

Collaborating again after 10 years, Michelle expressed although its been 10 years since she's seen Raymond, their friendship did not fade off at all. She said: "I remember my first day at work with Raymond, I couldn't help but to say to him, 'Ah, our chemistry is still the same, didn't change.' Just an eye expression and we take the same action without any words. It turn out time and distance can't affect chemistry. Both of us are greatly gratified by this fact."

Yesterday Raymond Lam, Chilam Cheung, Nnadia Chan, Bosco Wong, Linda Chung and Elanne Kong took part in TVB's Yan Oi Tong Charity 2012. Recently, Raymond has been in Mainland shooting a new drama produced by Michelle Ye. It was reported Michelle has been treating the artists badly and scolded them on Weibo. When Raymond heard this, he was shocked and said: "She treats the artists well! Perhaps because she's a straightforward person, and she's working behind-the-scenes too, its difficult. (Will you be like Michelle and establish a production company?) I think I can only consider that after my retirement, but I have been doing some business with a friend, we plan to launch some products during my concert, and will do a crossover will an American famous brand."

The other night, Michelle Ye and Mainland actor Ethan Li arrived together hand-in-hand, in matching outfits and shiny jewelry to PIAGET's banquet in Beijing. The two were very matching in every aspect. During the interview, the two would often glance at each other, hold hands and laugh, just like a passionate pair of lovers. However, they both denied to being in a relationship. Michelle was first to explain: "We are not dating, just friends! We have been shooting new series The 9th Widow in the past three months, so we are very familiar. (Is there a chance to develop further?) In terms of work, there is a lot of opportunities."

Although Michelle and Ethan both denied to the relationship, they still did not avoid praising one another. Ethan smiled sweetly: "She is a very good boss and a good actress. She the Goddess in the hearts of the people that like her and she is my Goddess!"

In the past, Michelle had many rumors, but she still stressed that she's single. Although she knows Ethan very well and has created lots of sparks during the collaboration, she seems to be holding back in her relationships. Michelle said: "If I really am dating, then I will make it public, but I'm not dating anyone at the moment. He (Ethan) has a very good personality. (What is he missing?) I'm not telling you! (Is it because he's not wealthy?) I love him more than those wealthy men!" The two were publicly expressing words of love, their relationship seems quite evident.

Since Louis Koo is suffering from leg injuries, the Overheard 2 film premiere was left to be supported by Sean Lau, Daniel Wu, Crystal Wang and Michelle Ye. Film premieres had always been a beauty battle between the female artists. The night of the premiere, Michelle and Crystal had on respectively a girdle transparent dress and a deep V evening dress. Unfortunately the 'attention' on the two were limited, and only relied on their slight career lines for a feast to the eyes.

However, whatever the two girls tried to put forth, they were still unable to compare with Amy Kwok's knitted shirt that she carefully prepared for her husband Sean. Because the AC was on too high, Sean's hands were ice-cold and had a 'sticking out' figure (nipples seen under his shirt). When reporters praised his sticking out figure was very sexy. Sean embarrassingly pretended to do Crystal's spoiled voice asking for help. He said in Mandarin, "You all are so naughty!"

Sean and Amy have been married for several years and had always been a loving couple. Earlier Amy said her husband strictly prohibited her to look sexy. Every time she leaves the door, she would first have to have Sean's 'approval'. Reporters teased if he'll be cautious of what he chooses for his wife to wear to the Venice Film Festival? Sean made a slick response: "When was I that type of person?! (Do you have confidence to become the Film King?) If have to win, it should be director Johnny To first. I am just going to accompany him."

As for Louis' injury, Sean and Crystal both sent their blessings to him. Crystal laughed: "The day after Louis' got injured, I attended an event in Guangzhou with him. I saw him using crutches and thought some well known brand custom made that for him. Later, I saw he couldn't even stand straight while taking photos, that's when I realized he does have a serious injury. Then I ran over to help him, he said it hurts a lot. I don't understand why he's in so much pain, but he was expressionless." Michelle added a joke to tease Louis: "He's fat, old and has grey hair, now he's crippled too!"

Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen) is paired up with Louis Koo Tin Lok in OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2). Because in the film Yip Shuen had to go to prison at the hands of her on screen husband Goo Jai, she had to interpret the struggles between love and pain. Yip Shuen's "ability to cry" stunned Goo Jai, who could not help but praise "the Old Lady"!

This was not Yip Shuen and Goo Jai's first collaboration, and the most important to relationship scenes were chemistry and spark. In the film Yip Shuen had many crying scenes. Her tears seemed to flow like she had a tap as she cried on cue. No wonder people on the set made fun of her as a natural crybaby. Even Goo Jai said that he was no match for her.

Yip Shuen humbly said, "Anyone else in this character would be able to cry, so it's just that the directors' story is good. Of course, co-star is very important. Goo Jai is able to bring me into character." Yet this time she only worked for a few days. Although Yip Shuen said that her acting bug had its fill, she honestly said that it was not enough. She looked forward very much to working with Koo Tin Lok again. She said, "I am happy to be a part of OVERHEARD 2; but it was just a few short days of acting. If I have the chance I of course would like to work with Goo Jai."

Goo Jai said, "Although I didn't have too many scenes with Yip Shuen, those scenes required proper handling. I had to express the source of our relationship. My favorite scene was bringing Yip Shuen home. We had to talk about our feelings over the years and led up to the final break up. The scene wasn't long, and I didn't have too many lines, but we had to express our helplessness. This scene left a very deep feeling with me."

Recently Michelle Ye is busy shooting in Mainland for a new series. She exposed that earlier when she was match making with a male artist, but something silly foolish happened. At the time, she wanted to text the match maker that she is very nervous, but accidentally sent the message to that match making partner! She said: “Not only that! Yesterday Michelle Ye arrived in Beijing to attend a promotional event for her new film. When she was on stage, she suddenly collapsed to the ground. The people that stood next to her quickly helped her go backstage. White lips were seen on Michelle, after resting a bit, she felt better and said the reason was because of extreme fatigue.

In Beijing yesterday, Michelle attended the poster announcement ceremony for her new film. On stage, a sudden crashing sound was heard as Michelle falls to the ground. The other artists surrounded her to help her up. Liu Ye and Xuan Huang picked her up and brought her backstage. At the time, Michelle was still conscious, she opened her eyes, shook her head and waved her hands, but her lips were white. Her whole body lacked strength and was unable to remain standing.

It was understood that Michelle is currently on a diet to lose weight. That day she did not have lunch and because of low blood sugar levels, she collapsed. Her manager said she was rushing in Hong Kong to shoot a film and overworked herself. She is currently doing fine.

After some time to rest, Michelle accepted a phone interview, she said: "I already went to see the doctor. He said I'm excessively fatigue, and need to take a good rest. Because in the last year I filmed 10 movies and series. Also, I have been actively promoting for Hi, Fidelity." Known as the 'steal soul', Michelle joked she faints when she's relaxed: "When shooting Mainland series Steal Soul, I am often out in the sun, rain or snow and I'm still fine, so the crew called me the steal soul. Unexpectedly once I relax a bit, I faint."

The director and screenwriter Felix Chong joked that to fight against 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy, he added a bed scene for Sean and Betty. Later I have a bomb explosion scene on the busy streets with Daniel. But if my condition isn't well, I will take a break for physical therapy." After completing Overheard II, Louis will immediately head to Shangri-la to shoot another film High Altitude Romance II with Sammi Cheng at the end of the month."

Michelle Ye and Louis plays a married couple, but she gets betrayed by her husband Louis and goes to jail. Asked if in reality she had been betrayed by a boyfriend before? Michelle said: "I have been betrayed by my ex-boyfriend before, but many times because of work I was unsure, perhaps it was faithful to the relationship, but was betrayed in terms of work. So this script was written very well." Michelle smiled and said that in reality she will have to see how much she loves the person before she decides if she should return to him (reconcile with ex-boyfriend). She also expressed that earlier she was rehearsing with Louis, but because she got too into it she couldn't stop crying.

Keeps mouth shut, won't talk about TVB's new boss

When speaking of her past rumors with 'Shell King' Chan Kwok Keung, now that he's the new boss at TVB, Michelle heard the name and did not want to talk about it. Asked if she still has a contract with TVB? She said: "No. (Has TVB invited her back to shoot series?) This is a business secret. I feel it doesn't matter what company I shoot series for as long as the script is good. I treat everyone equally." When reporters mentioned Chan Kwok Keung entering TVB again, Michelle said instantly: "I don't want to talk about unrelated things, it's not good to talk about people I don't know."

Hong Kong action movie ‘Fire of Conscience’ held its premiere at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre where Director Dante Lam brought his casts Leon Lai, Richie Ren, Michelle Ye, Liu Kaichi, Wang Baoqiang, etc stars to attend the ceremony. Female lead Michelle Ye became the highlight of the premiere among the male dominated casts. She laughs claiming that her ‘police officer’ role of hers in ‘Fire of Conscience’ also happens to be the most ‘humane’ one. “She is the only one who cries and laughs expressing her emotions in the movie, Leon Lai is too depressed while Richie Ren is too cool, whereas Wang Baoqiang does not speak of his emotions.” However, Michelle also expressed that her role this time is the ‘most handsome’ and ‘most unfeminine’ one as compared to the past, where she not only need to have relationship scenes, but also stays by the side of her superior Leon Lai in facing life and death, in the scenes where they were battling with the bandits, she too has to accomplish the very challenging stunts that male actors did, the few explosion scenes nearly blew her eardrums.

Director Dante Lam at the press conference expressed his recognition for Michelle Ye, frankly revealing that she is the actress he has most confidence to portray an action role excellently, and has immediately invited her for more collaboration right after the completion of ‘Fire of Conscience’ filming, wanting to train her to become the successor of an action actress. Dante Lam also praised Michelle’s professionalism, where only three seconds of words of “Need to cut hair short” had made Michelle cut her long hair away without any hesitation at all, and he only knew after that it was her first time cutting short her hair in the lifetime. Leon Lai was full of praises towards Michelle Ye who plays his ‘subordinate’, saying she is very comfortable (to be with) be it ‘in or out of movie’. She is silently in love with him in the movie, does his laundry and took care of his daily necessities, and is a very compatible partner at work, while she is very earnest and professional out of the movie. ‘Fire of Conscience’ has stunts and action scenes that caused him muscle pain so severe it hurts to move, and thus he was in awe at how Michelle Ye who had to accomplish his same stunts could endure it.

Receiving praises from director and movie king, Michelle Ye expressed that it is the honor of her lifetime to be able to work with the most professional filming crew, both onscreen and behind stage and that it was her biggest achievement. Although ‘Fire of Conscience’ had pushed her to the limits, but the people in the industry who’ve admired her efforts in the movie made it all worthy. Michelle also revealed an interesting incident while filming with Leon Lai; Director Dante Lam requested a lengthy scene where it required her and Leon to run along seven streets continuously; and the scene was repeated for over twenty takes. Because Leon had longer legs, he was evidently faster when running, thus after twenty takes, Michelle’s stamina was really pushed to the limits. After achieving the task and arriving at the middle of Mahua Road, while other crew and her assistant’s vehicle had yet arrived, luckily Leon was quick witted enough and very gentlemanly dragged her to the side into a Japanese restaurant for a good rest.

Director Dante Lam of ‘The Beast Stalker’, Leon Lai and Richie Ren leading in police-bandit action movie ‘Fire of Conscience’ will soon hit the screens on 1st April. Besides the two male leads having war zone action scenes, sexy actress Michelle Ye too sacrificed her long hair, becoming the one ‘lady officer’ in the film.

‘Fire of Conscience’ (in Chinese it is literally ‘Fire Dragon’) title originates from Hong Kong’s fire dragon dance show. In 1880 mid-autumn festival, there was an epidemic breakout, the people then depended on fire dragon dance to battle with this epidemic. Director Dante Lam expressed: “Fire dragon dance allowed me to recall everyone has an ‘epidemic’ within them, when your will is weak, it will win over your rationale and conscience, thus I think the significance of fire dragon dance and the people I usually film with matches, a very suitable simile.”

Michelle Ye’s tough appearance in ‘Fire of Conscience’, sacrificed her long hair to become ‘lady officer’

Michelle Ye plays Leon’s assistant in the film as a police officer and is assigned a tough appearance. She specially cut her years of long hair short, however she did not feel that it was a pity: “I feel that short hair is the best portrayal of a police officer’s style, since I’ve accepted (to play) this role, I will put my best efforts in, long hair can be grown again.” Meanwhile, during filming, she too has numerous action scenes to accomplish, among them she was to dash seven streets in one shot with Leon Lai, when talked about this, she expressed: “I do workout usually, but I really have no idea how far I actually ran that day, director filmed a few times, he wanted to give audience a longer (running) scene, we ended up running down 7 streets, after we finished the scene, I no longer know where I actually was.” Towards Michelle’s performance, Director Dante Lam gave her very high praises: “Michelle cut her long hair of several years just for this movie and brought to life a frontline and earnest police officer, she is the few Hong Kong actress who is able to handle war zone and action scenes well. She used to give the impression of gracefulness with a tad of sexiness, but it seems like she is good with tough too. After watching ‘Fire of Conscience’, (audience will) definitely have higher regards for her. Because be it chasing scenes or firing (guns) action scenes, they’re all very nice to watch and you can definitely feel her diligence and efforts in filming.”

Sighing it’s ‘cool to have guns’, praises Leon Lai to be tender, hard to forget ‘admiration’ scenes

Michelle Ye has been using her sexy female image in the past works, when talked about her transformation into a resolute police officer, she was very excited: “it’s definitely very different from my roles in the past, it was more feminine in the past, wearing glamorous clothes, but I like the simplicity of this movie, sexiness is not in what you wear, but what your spirit is, I feel that holding a gun is sexy.” Talking about her relationship scenes in the movie, Michelle Ye expressed: “She is a weak person in relationship, she admires Leon Lai yet dares not confess and silently helps him with everything, she is a reserved person.” Talking about her having numerous scenes with Leon Lai, Michelle Ye humbly expressed: “He is a very easy going person, and very nice, tender and delicate towards girls, there were several times when we filmed dangerous scenes, he took care of me well.”
