It has been rumored that Andy Hui and Sammi Cheng are getting married. Yesterday it was reported again that both sides of the family are rushing the couple to marry and Andy has decided to take a 3 month break from September to November to focus on the secret marriage. Near the end of the concert, Andy played and sang several of his songs like Mud 爛泥 and Only You Cannot Be Replaced 唯獨你是不可取替. He expressed he fell for the piano after this concert and especially went for 7 piano lessons. Following his mini speech, he invited Joey out with her guitar and the two performed Flower Thousand Trees 花千樹 together. After the show, Joey laughed and said she was too into the performance and couldn't feel the position of where Andy was laying on her chest at all. He laughed and said he was so into the performance, when he did the sleeping pose while laying on Joey, his eyes were closed and didn't look down. When asked if Andy fears girlfriend Sammi Cheng may get upset that he's laying on Joey's chest? He also stressed the performance is just necessary for his work, so he does not need to tell his girlfriend. Yesterday Sammi Cheng attended an event for fashion label Aquascutum as their spokesperson. According to the Hong Kong media, the 1,700-square feet (approximately 158 square metres) luxury apartment in Yukon Court is worth HKD$24.28 million (SGD$3.7 million) and renovation work for the unit had been completed.

It is believed that the couple is currently busy decorating their apartment, and hopes to move in during the Mid Autumn Festival in September.

Andy was previously staying in a 4,000-square feet (approximately 372 square metres) rented apartment at Kadoorie Hill. He was living with his father and his elder brother's family.

"After his father passed away, Andy wanted to move out. He wanted to spend more time alone with Sammi after they reconciled, so he bought a place at Yukon Court, West Hill. It is not even a five-minute drive away from Sammi's place, so it's easier when Sammi wants to visit him," an insider said.

However, there were speculations that Sammi is using her current residence as a front and is actually cohabiting with Andy secretly.

As Universal Music, Warners Music, Sony Music, EMI and BMA (Big 5) withdrew from IFPI HK, first line singers Eason Chan and Hacken Lee's numbers were not taken into account. As if being a top Cantopop queen and best-selling author aren't enough, Cheng may release a cookbook soon.

She said: "I try to marry my work with my beliefs. I also have strange ideas. I may release a cookbook, but I am no chef.

"But I think people may be encouraged to try cooking if they read about my attempts to cook simple dishes. I hope to realise my dream next year."

But Cheng's culinary skills are almost non-existent - the paparazzi have caught her eating instant noodles for dinner.

She said: "I don't even have a clue as to how to turn on my stove. So if I were to release a cookbook, I must make an effort to learn cooking to encourage others in the same situation."

After all those years of keeping a low profile, Cheng's outlook on life has changed dramatically.

Now, the born-again Christian does not worry about success or failure, choosing instead to enjoy the process of doing things.

Cheng said: "I used to believe in fate. I used to think that good and bad luck would dominate a person's life. But after embracing Christianity again, my philosophy has changed. Now, I leave everything to God's will."

Her career has peaked with good results when it comes to record sales and box-office takings.

Her comeback Show Mi Tour has also been rewarding. But the same can't be said of her love life.

After all, Cheng hasn't had a serious relationship since she and Hong Kong actor-singer Andy Hui broke up in 2004 after a 13-year relationship.

Cheng said: "I've matured a lot after recovering from depression. I communicate better with my family now because I've mellowed a lot."

She now prefers to spend her free time with her parents than be out painting the town red.

With Andy Hui’s sudden announcement last week that he broke up with his girlfriend Michelle over 1 month ago, his relationship with former girlfriend Sammi Cheng is back in the spotlight. She also says that both of them are very committed to being friends only – the romantic love that they used to have has turned into friendship; they are each other’s guardian angel. In the years since the breakup, both she and Andy have changed a lot – since it involves her future happiness, she cannot take it lightly and get back together with him just because of memories from 20 years ago. She also states that there are some relationships that she does not want to and cannot afford to disturb – she also emphasized that Andy did NOT propose to her.

In her statement, Sammi also mentions Andy’s girlfriend Michelle – she says that she has only met Michelle once before at Andy’s home. As for Michelle and Andy’s romance constantly being under the shadow of his previous relationship with her, Sammi says that she feels Michelle’s pain, however unfortunately it is something that she cannot control.

Sammi also writes that the ‘reunion’ rumors have been stressful for her and she hopes that everyone can let go and give her, Andy, and Michelle some space. Hong Kong actress-singer Sammi Cheng's recent comeback to the entertainment scene after a battle with depression has been filled with talk of her previous 13-year romance with fellow Hong Kong artiste, Andy Hui.

The pair started dating in 1991 and broke up in early 2004 when Andy publicly announced the end of their 13-year relationship. After their high-profiled breakup, Sammi was labeled as an overbearing and bad tempered person, and was reportedly not well-liked amongst Andy's fellow buddies like Dicky Cheung.

Currently at Taiwan for her concert stopover and a new MV shoot, the 37-year-old finally broke her six-year long silence and explained the reason behind their breakup to the Taiwanese press.

"The old me used to be very willful and I took the people who loved me for granted. I am such a person and I have a fiery temper! Especially when I know that he is a person who loves me, it is easier for me to vent my anger on him," she said.

Unlike her previous self who only knew how to "be loved" by others, Sammi shares that she has learnt how to "sacrifice" now. She believes that "whoever falls in love with me now, will definitely be very happy. I promise."

When asked if she regretted going separate ways with Andy, the Cantopop crooner hesitated a little before replying, "I think there are many instances of regrets in life.
