Kathy Chow and her French husband Julien Lepeu got married last September in France. Last night, they held their wedding banquet and an after party back in Hong Kong and invited 300 guests to celebrate with them. It was a 1920s themed wedding party with 11 tables. Celebrity guest who attended includes Carina Lau, Gigi Lai, Cecilia Yip, Calvin Choy, Rosamund Kwan and Kathy's sister Niki Chow. Kathy met the press accompanied by her husband and sister Niki, and each got a kiss.

Kathy explained the theme of the banquet: "This time, the theme is the 1920s because I really like that time period. The 1920s is when there was China-France relations, which makes it very meaningful to us." Putting the wedding dress back on, Kathy was asked if she felt like she's getting married for the second time? She said: "I'm very happy to be able to hold a wedding banquet and wear a wedding dress at home because my grandparents didn't go to France last time, so now they can see me actually get married. We had a tea ceremony, my husband followed the tradition and played the video of our marriage in France."

Kathy expressed she'll be tossing the flower bouquet again, but will she throw it to her sister Niki? She said: "I won't cheat, but I will try my best." Niki jumped in: "I'll get it myself, don't need to throw it. There won't be cheating involved." Niki expressed she's not desperate to get married. There are many handsome guys in the groom's family, is she interested in any of them? Niki said she knows all of the guys in the groom's family, she's not interested in them and they are all married. Kathy was more hurried than her sister, and expressed she will help look for somebody. Kathy said there isn't any regulations in the Chow family that they must comply to, she believes the most important is happiness for the married couple.

Her guests all wished her to have a baby soon, Kathy said: "I will try my best, add oil, but this can't be rushed." Asked if she's rushing to have a Snake baby? She believes anything could be possible.

Kathy hired jazz singer Howard McCrary to perform at her wedding, while she had on designer brand Elie Saab's sexy wedding dress on. Her sister, Niki passed out HK$500 lucky red envelopes on her behalf to the reporters.

Kathy Chow and Julien tied the knot yesterday (Sept. 29th) in the romantic old town of Grasse, France. There were tears and laugher throughout the wedding ceremony, especially for the bride Kathy, who was overjoy and teared up nonstop. Even her bridesmaid and younger sister Niki Chow was crying along with her.

Kathy had on a Elie Saab low-cut wedding dress valued at HK$500,000 and a Cartier wedding ring. It was an outdoor wedding ceremony held at 5pm in France, but it was a cloudy forecast with some rain. Before the wedding began, there was some light rain, but when the wedding officially started, the sky suddenly turned clear as if it was sending a blessing to the newly weds. When the bride saw her family and friends coming from afar to witness her marriage, she started getting emotional and teared up.

The most touching moment was when Julien's father made his thank you speech, they also explained the reason to the "White Party" theme at the welcome dinner. He said: "I really like Asia, that was why I sent Julien to Hong Kong to experience it. I gave Julien some money to buy clothes, and unexpectedly he bought an all-white suit and wore it to work. It was just too funny."

Julien's father continued: "Kathy has a very cute personality, and she's beautiful. Our entire family loves her, she is our bridge, who helps us understand more of Chinese culture." Then the father exposed his son's personality of always wanting to win, never want to lose. He said: "So, I'm really grateful that Kathy is able to withstand my naughty son." Kathy teared up once again in response. After the wedding ceremony, the newly weds and their guests held another party nearby and cut the giant Macaroon wedding cake.
 
Niki cries and laughs during her speech

Niki was her sister's bridesmaid and had to make her thank you speech in French, which was a great challenge for her. Niki already got the speech memorized and started out very well, she spoke smoothly and comfortably. However, she suddenly blanked out because she started getting emotional and her speech turned stiff as tears came rolling down. When she completed her speech, Niki started laughing again and said in Cantonese, "I'm finally done!" followed by a burst in laughter. Kathy and Julien were standing besides her and couldn't help but to start laughing with her.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a holiday for the reunion of humans and the moon. Kathy Chow chose this meaningful day to marry her French boyfriend Julien Lepeu. Kathy and Julien have been dating for over 5 years and in reality they had plans for marriage for a long time already. However, Kathy hoped to keep it low-key and never really talked about it, but actually everything for the wedding is set. Also, each part of the wedding is very exquisite. The couple chose to hold their 3-day wedding at Caen, France. This wedding will absolutely be a glamorous one.

On the first day (September 28th) they will first have their pre-wedding evening banquet to welcome their guests coming from afar. The following day (September 29th) they will hold their wedding at dusk. On the third and final day, (September 30th) which is also the day of Mid-Autumn Festival, they will have another wedding banquet in the afternoon to thank their guests once again for making special trips to France to attend their wedding. Kathy has a wide circle of acquaintances in both the modeling and entertainment industries, many of her good friends wants to witness her marriage and will not hesitate to fly all the way to France for the occasion. The guests who have already promised to attend includes, Kathy's younger sister Niki Chow, Christine Ng, Almen Wong and many more. As Kathy wants a perfect wedding, her guests does not dare to give the slightest neglect and will prepare at least 3 evening dresses, one for each day. For friends who won't able to make it to her wedding in France, she'll have another wedding banquet in HK as well.
